Would be good if the Mail's Stock Watch piece, which seems to have VIP on its radar, gave it some further oxygen this weekend. I know this one can be a slow burn after news, but not too much of a stampede just yet...

The Sella Bank Group, which seems to have indirectly funded the acquisition of SofTelecom, now holds over 12% of Vipera's enlarged stock. One can only assume the bank sees plenty of positive opportunities ahead, and in return for the significant investment will no doubt expect steady growth. Let's hope Vipera can deliver that growth and the relationship with the bank remains a happy one! No sign of a seat on the board resulting from the deal, so it appears a hands-off arrangement for now.

My guess, I had a feeling something was coming, hence topping up yesterday. I didn't think it would be an acquisition, mind. It all sounds very interesting and encouraging that the company is actively seeking modest but steady growth. Let's see what that brings today.

I agree the forthcoming changes should produce new business. Overall, it's not clear where the changes could lead. They certainly look significant and must change the playing field significantly for the banks. Whether that will turn out to be beneficial to VIP in the longer term is hard to tell.

Hopefully, our BoD are less inclined to guild the lily in terms of business achieved. It certainly looks that way.

In layman's terms, could anyone explain the commercial benefit to VIP of this operational partnership between the two products - is it basically joining a good front end product to a whizzy back end one? If so, I assume it widens the business opportunities. Basically, I'm not clear where one platform stops and the other starts... It's great to see another string added to the bow, however.

Yes, pleasing and encouraging to see the quick bounce back to the post announcement closing price. Let's hope it can be maintained rather suffer than the gradual fall off previously experienced. Certainly more new contracts would keep the positive momentum going. Good for those at the sharp end to see the fruits of their endeavours coming good.

Saturday's DM has selected Vipera as its Stockwatch company in the business section, mentioning the Bankart contract. All grist to the publicity mill...

My guess. Yes, on the basis business attracts business there should be exponential growth going forward. Right now it's other potention clients that should start to take notice and be more willing to hear VIP's business pitch.

Another great development with the Bankart contract. Things are really starting to come together and hopefully the market reacts positively.

The obvious difference between the two companies was that Earthport produces a very good profit. Hence it's high market cap based on investor confidence. Once Vipera can get into the black that will change the dynamics quite quickly, I feel. For others - The relevant piece is at 7.40 mins into the vid...

The case of Imagination Tech shows just how being too reliant on a small client base can devastate a business when it all goes pear-shaped. It can be difficult not to concentrate too much on major clients, especially when there's a good relationship, but the sooner VIP gains other major business clients, the better! I do feel positive about the direction of travel though.

Myguess, I think the big challenge (which I'm sure VIP is working on) is to break into a new/wider client base with its mobile banking products. Once they can achieve that breakthrough the business and investment world should take more notice.

Myguess, just seems a shame that the price, which had only moderately reflected recent good news releases is knocked back so quickly. At some point the gains have to stick and then kick on, but as you say if they can get a run of new contracts that should happen.
