SOS sp looking quite resilient given the general market volatility. Nice to see. Will be very interesting to see how the widened potential customer base, via the relationship with JL and Next, works out.

Great prospect here then... I had hoped there would be a further little uplift Today based on the retail recovery, but maybe another notch up will occur pre close..

A merger possibly, but I can’t see a takeover happening. Government wouldn’t be keen either way. One thing about Costain is the oil & gas engineering bit, which would probably be considered a negative in the current climate. Meanwhile, I’m a bit surprised the sp has retraced to this extent with the bullish prospects for the sector. If it approaches 60p I’ll buy more.

The extra Government funding for infrastructure build and repair Can only bode well for MER, the repair spend in particular. Mears is currently a bargain but apparently not on the market radar. That will change soon.

I’m expecting another bit of upward mobility in the coming weeks as sentiment and general confidence strengthens. Signs are that online retailers have held up reasonably well in the circumstances and SOS was doing well before Covid, so it should get back into its stride fairly quickly.

Not the most inspirational update, which the market is duly underwhelmed by. Steady as she goes is about the best you can say, but they really need to build from here. Hopefully some very good contracts come to pass in the coming months.

With all the interest in the last twelve months in Namibia farm-ins, it’s hard to understand why Eco remains the bridesmaid given the position of its licensed areas. Surely must get a suitor soon - hopefully a major.

I sold 65% of my allocation on Monday at 93p. That recovered the full acquisition cost so the remaining 35% are effectively free shares. Will sit tight with my holding now.

In light of the agreement with JL regarding a presence on their website, I wonder if that might develop to Sosandar taking floor space in some stores. It sounds counterintuitive, I know, but JL will be losing some existing implants and future customers could come to expect to find SOS in the store having seen their products online. It could work...

Market makers sometimes use the spread to slow down or take the heat out of the sp swings. They have their reasons, not least their own position. It’s a murky world. Ultimately the good (if it’s there) wins out.

It seems Sosander has grown up and it looks like a company able to move quickly with the market forces. That is essential these days of obsolescence. The tie up with JL looks fantastic. Great things on the way, I feel.

Day traders are heading for the exit. Looks like a sub-100 end.

Topped up last week in the hope the market would finally wake up re Kier treading water. This initial movement is long overdue, but 120 is my guess for mid July latest.

And they are 60p.
