Hard up, I think that the explanation may be that the shares were previously loaned to short sellers, who have now accepted that the shares at their current level are not now worth shorting, so they have returned them.

If that is so it should seen as a positive sign for the SP going forward.

Dallo, that is very interesting, and when you say that "Something has to give", I assume that you mean that either the SP rises significantly to reflect the points that you have made - or that ITV finally is the subject of a takeover in view of the perceived value of its archived content, and the revenue capable of being generated by ITV studios and the effect that must have on shareholder value?

I think it is now obvious that this is a share for "the bottom drawer", and that there is little point at present in becoming to pre occupied with day to day movements in The SP. I feel for the guy who posted on her some time ago who said he had increased his mortgage to invest here - can only imagine how he must be feeling now!

On a positive note however, I think a lot of the previous uncertainties have now been removed and we can be assured that the project will in fact now be delivered,. Hopefully we as PI's and mere pawns in this game will in due course be able to get a return in what we have invested and the faith we have shown in CF and the BoD

Hi Bamps, I agree that as a nation we are probably more divided now over Brexit than at any other time in my lifetime including the Miners strike etc etc.

Bamps, I think with respect that nothing currently compares with the politics of Sir Oswald and the 1930's..... Although quite frankly looking at the very poor quality of the politicians today one wonders which is worse!

Dallo lesson in Britush constitutional history:-

The Queen - purely a figurehead with no executive, or legislative powers
The Church of England - ditto but of complete irrelevance and of diminishing influence.
House of Lords - little influence over legislative matters

Further, the Euoropeqn parliament is too big to meet the differing requirements of the various individual nations
The European Commission - unelected unaccountable and too much power.

I have had this on my "watch list" for some time now and initially thought this was a buy at below 135...... Surely at below 110 it really must be now!.... Even if the Div were to be halved it would still be a pretty decent yield. Do any of you regulars on here have any views?
