The company are issuing RASP shares in lieu of the value of what the Evraz price will reduce once the demerger takes place, in theory the value of your current holding will stay the same ,only you will be holding shares in both companies. By the tone of the RNS it may take some time to convert the RASP shares to cash, what I haven’t figured out is the process of receiving the money. Ideas anyone?.

It was a shame that Xmas has intervened :),we were on a great roll, hopefully it continues next Wednesday.

I doubt whether we’ll get near £7 soon , it would be nice though.
I will sell out sometime in January then buy back in February once the dust has settled.

I did ask HL what was the situation with regard to holding RASP shares but didn’t receive a response. It’s possible that they can be held in a normal share account as I can get a quote for Gazprom ( nothing come up for RASP) but only in the share account.

If a company disposes of 20-25%( more like 25%) of the company value it stands to reason that said company after the demerger would reduce by the same percentage. If you can accept the RASP shares then there’s no issue, if not , there are decisions on the way forward to be made.

Not sure if this an error but the RNS has a divi declaration date as the 24/12/21 but Dividend Data and Dividend Max have an ex-divi date as the 23/12/21.

I can’t hold or even sell (I believe) as my holding is in a SIPP and can’t see how that money could get into my account.
I will hold for the divi then sell prior to the date of the demerger ,though I couldn’t see a confirmed date in the RNS where it states when Evraz will start trading with a reduced market cap.

Current Rasp price is £3.95, market cap approx £2.6b and their divi is currently 13.87%.
I’m not sure whether I can hold the shares, just did a rough calc and reckon the Evraz shares would devalue approx 20% after the demerger though my brain is a bit fuzzy and could be miles out.

20c divi announced, didn’t think we’d get itthis year as time running out, great news

All being well , there should be an RNS out shortly stating that the Noble Hans Deul has spudded Southwark.

Painful, my top buy in was £21 when the divi was approx £2.08, the tears nearly came when after the last 72p payment the divi was cut by 30 odd percent

I don’t know about lucky, a lot a blood and sweat, no tears, went into buying them:)

The dividends aren’t guaranteed, none ever are ,even when declared. That said I’m relying on 48p payments as that equates to approx £1.7K in Dec that goes into Jans pension withdrawal from my SIPP.

We have had a divi in Dec, last one was about 2018 but Evr have out of the blue paid extra divis such as the 2nd one this year so there’s still plenty of time to announce another this year. Roman likes the divis, think he finances Chelsea with them:)
