But if the company were to compensate those holders, you wouldn’t have a problem with that because it’s part of the game?.

I was referring to your letter from Evr where they stated that the value of RASP would need to be built back in to the SP, which is how it should be. RASP are due to pay a dividend in the near future which the holders at the time would have been eligible for, no longer, so I think there would be a case for compensating their loss, just surmising though, nothing factual.

If this goes ahead the holders who held for the RASP shares will recover their losses, those who bought in after the 15th are on a winner.
Though they could use the retained divi to partially compensate the RASP qualifiers, that would go down well with the new investors:)

You’ve just said that the opening price was £2.57 after deduction, what the share price does after that is irrelevant, it could have gone down. No matter which way you put it the value of RASP was deducted from the MC of the company at the open, as such the value (whatever that maybe at the time) should be reinstated at some time after the suspension is lifted. Though by your reasoning that value was nonexistent .

So if the RASP value wasnt capitalised into the share price , how come the “£1.88” came off the value of the SP in the 14th Feb when the demerger started rolling?

I think EVR should completely forget about ESG and hold onto RASP, there are/will be enough investors here to combat any pressure from the green brigade, not forgetting they are doing there bit for the environment with a solar powered steel works for starters.

As the majority of the coal goes direct to EVR ,I would assume heavily discounted, then RASP will not benefit with rising prices to the extent that you think. If all of the coal was sold on the open market then maybe the MC would be £4b

Not sure where you are getting your figures from but RASP had an MC of about £2.8b when the demerger was first announced, why £4b now?.

RASP shares should start trading again tomorrow on MOEX, not a clue as to how many bags of rubble they’ll be worth.

£7 has never been normal, it’s spiked twice to that level for a few days over the last 3yrs

I can’t see the point of criticising the situation, it’s not going to get me anywhere. Too many on here are doing it, to no avail.
We’re all stuck here with no options to do anything about the situation for the time being, can only wait and see.

As a LTH holder here I know exactly what EVR is , what they do and where they do it.

It doesn’t really matter what the value of her holdings are, it’s a global company earning money worldwide.
There was an article earlier in the year up in arms that RA had received over a billion pounds in divis since I think 2014, could be wrong on the date, nothing wrong with that, benefits of holding shares. The main shareholder in BET365 earned over a billion in divis over 5yrs, there were no complaints from anyone, so there shouldn’t be. I’ve earned a decent amount from EVR in divis over the last 4yrs, do I feel guilty?, Naaaaaaah

I received my BP divi yesterday like many thousands in the UK, pension funds were topped up, with a big percentage of the money earned in Russia. I haven’t read anywhere yet that we should be donating that ‘dirty money’ to the Ukraine. Definitely double standards
