There's a major bunfight taking place in the US over the patents to CRISPR technology. Does anyone have an insight into how it might affect HZD?

From the business update of 27.10.15: "NIOX® sales grew strongly during the third quarter of 2015, with revenues totalling £4.5 million, an increase of 35% compared with the same period the year before. Sales for the nine months to 30 September also show good growth, reaching £13.6 million, an increase of 30% compared with the first three quarters of 2014. " Doesn't that imply that sales were stagnant over those nine months? i.e. 13.6 divided by three equals 4.5 roughly.

Good news they took a £30m hit. (as I recall Tungsten Bank cost £60m) Expenses reduced by £2m p.a. - coupled with the previous statement ("Pick the bones out of this:") indicates that their expectations for TEP are not very high. Could Insight be squeezing? Tungsten Analytics also looks like a busted flush. Could Edi really have saved the NHS a billion quid?

"The change in control agreement comes as Tungsten's Board concluded that operating a regulated deposit-taking banking license is incompatible with the pursuit of profitable growth from the foreseeable invoice financing opportunity. The development of its invoice financing offering remains a key component of Tungsten's strategy."

A while ago I was slated for describing Tungsten as "opaque". It has always been recognized that the main driver of growth in this company is TEP and yet the agreement between Tungsten and Insight for financing invoices is described as "confidential". If you can't see the margin how can you invest in this company?

If you search on the Boots website for 'head lice' you will find at least 17 competing products. This, plus the placing means I am not investing here.

So who decides how much the shareholders get when it goes private?

Shareprophets bearcast of Nov 2 suggests that a placing is coming. Personally I'm not interested in this share but if I were, I'd consider very carefully what TW has to say.

It's late so I've not been very thorough. Have just googled 'Boots' and 'Vamousse' and the message I immediately get is that it kills lice and eggs within 15 minutes with no need to reapply. Wham , Bam, Thank you M'am. What more do you need to know . Looks like they're getting their act together.( Nice picture of the box too).

I don't see any serious attempt here to honestly evaluate what the competition is. Google 'microfluidics' and 'CTC'. Vortex Biosciences seem to have a good product. I will no doubt be greeted with howls of ramper/deramper whatever, but you don't get rich by burying your head in the sand.

I suspect another placing is on the way although it may be a close call. I see that Vamousse is in Boots stores. On that subject the presentation on the Boots website is lacking: there's no picture, no reference to its 'organic' credentials and it does not state that it also kills the eggs. if I were looking for a treatment I'd probably go for one of the other 12 on offer. Tyratech if you're listening, please take note!

I don't have any recent experience of this but some of the treaments we tried when my kids came home from school with headlice, were such powerful chemicals we had to stop using them as they made the kids cry. That's 10year + info, for what it's worth.

There seems to be a steady flow of very good news from Angle these days.

The key figure for me is that the value of invoices processed by TEP increased in the four months by £30m over the £32m reported at year end. In the same period the number of suppliers live with TEP has doubled. The numbers are still too small to generate significant revenues but the growth rate is good. How you extrapolate from such small beginnings is hard to tell. However, Hurwitz does seem to be a safer pair of hands and it's good to see that the fee structure is being strengthened. Interesting that there's no mention of Analytics.
