50% of education is in the sciences. Overseas students pay very high fees to go to good UK universities. There is a basic flaw in the business model in that you need bricks and mortar to provide the experimental basis required by most A level science courses. Doesn't seem to be specific to GFM but across the board partly due to strength of sterling (most UK shares earn in dollars). US indices OK though. � has risen by 2% since the beginning of the year (zinc by 3% :-). Also end of the Xmas rally is blamed with PI's taking profits.

Any increase in the price of zinc goes straight to GFM's bottom line. It has increased from $1500/tonne to 3400 today. The year end was 31st Dec but last year they didn't post the tesults until April. So sp could wander a bit until then.True value for this share some people think is in the region of 155 to 165 p . An additional factor is that GFM have developed additional capacity for processing zone 2. See rns's and co. website. The Chairman has expressed his frustration at the beaurocratic slowness in the granting of the necessary permits. If and when these are granted the sp will go up like a rocket (imho). That's the situation - you have already had a kind of a windfall. Perhaps sell some and let the rest ride?

Start of 2016 $1500; end of 2017 $3250. The SP doesn't need zone 2 in order to be much higher. My back-of-the-envelope calculation comes up with 155p while Cantor Fitzgerald (house broker) is predicting 166p.

I think it is because they have only just turned profitable. Stokopedia shows a net profit of only £18,000 for 2017 with estimated net profits rising to £760k for 2018 and @£2m for 2019.

Companies not yet making a profit have to have a good story. The FDA approval story has been around and "imminent" to my certain knowledge for at least three years.I would advise not to make it a component of your investment decision.

All require the A level student to be able to conduct experiments. How does Wey handle this especially with regard to overseas students.

What is interesting is that GFM hasn't pulled back.

They have a presentation (7 Dec) by a company which claims to have already achieved some commercial success in CTC capture. "NetScientific is a transatlantic healthcare technology group with an investment strategy focused on sourcing, funding and commercialising technologies that improve health and well-being of people with chronic diseases. Earlier this month the company announced that its portfolio company, Vortex Biosciences, completed the first commercial sales of its Liquid Biopsy System which is a system for collecting intact circulating tumour sales (sic)".

Google 'microfluidics' and you will see quite a few players in the field which has been in existence for quite a few years. I first bought the Angle story three to four years ago. Now I'm inclined to wait until there is a definite move towards commercialisation. Incidentally, when I first got interested it was said that FDA approval was just around the corner. So glad I didn't hold my breath!

In the past they've had some very dodgy orders on the book. Stick to actual sales and ignore any orders 'in the pipeline'. I've been out of here a long time.

I've said this many times before but I'm going to say it again. If these discussions do not include all points of view you end up with the deluded leading the deluded as has happened on many bb's rendering them useless or downright dangerous.
