Roll on a bid, BTs management have proved themselves no better that politicians, they line there own pockets wile promising every thing, pat them selves on the back and even write books on how great they are, my vote goes to the monster raving loony party and my hope lies with a bid.

If a bid or takeover came it would be great for BTs SP and share holders, perhaps not great for BTs employees, only my own view the reason why a bid may come is because lots of upside if BT was managed correctly, just a pity BTs management can not do so them selves after all thats what they are being paid for?

Very interesting reading the first paragraph, Kettle and pot spring to mind, again another failing to copy our icon, but know the old saying a copy is the best complement you can get.

In other words welcome back Rod you where missed by all, most just have a strange way of saying it.

Looks like i am not the only one to miss Rod, not the same without him, just hope hes ok and in good health, even reading the last few posts its easy to see many comments trying to get Rod to respond in a negative way.

No wonder hes left or perhaps just not posting when so many antagonize him then when he responded criticize him.

Some may not have liked his posts but easy to block and not read his posts, my own view is there where far more that enjoyed his posts than not, never know if Rod ever wrote a book it could be a best seller.

Always DYOR as for opinions or views on the internet thats a bit like russian roulette play at your own pearl, Share are a gamble at the best of times, BT seems to be having good reviews at present so perhaps most would say hold or buy, my only advice is only gamble/invest what ever you are ready to lose.

Goodness did not mean to insult Rod/Mandy my apologies. Yes you are right some may have taken insult but then easy to block and miss his posts. Any one think it will stop raining for a few days or even weeks? Starting to think BT shares will be £5 or more before theres a good summer?

Actually think Rod is on Holiday some where with great weather not giving a thought about BT or these posts, always think only thing worse that being talked about is not being talked about and Rod even if he never posts again would always be remembered he has been fun and sadly missed.

Quite and boring, even if some of his posts seemed a bit aggressive Rod did put his views across in a very interesting and though out way. hope he is in good health and enjoying himself where ever he is.

Silly question but any one know where some one with old share certificates can sell BT shares without setting up some account and paying monthly charges etc?

things but tbh always liked his posts even if i disagreed with them. My own view on BT is long term hold for income even with inflation and capital invested in BT going down theres still a good chance of long term gain

BT Group shares ripe for a re-rating, says JPMorgan, Looks like JPM has been taking Rods advice, perhaps time may prove him correct, pity he has stopped posting as he brightened every ones day.

Rod if that was your last post then this site will be a much duller and boring place, Theres only one thing worse that being talked about and thats not being talked about.

Perhaps if BT does start talking with a foreign investor and the unions do cause a strike, BT shares may fall because of lost income making a take over more likely? Catch 22 do not like a take over go on strike and then a possibility becomes a probability plus the foreign investor would then want shot of what they may consider an unwanted work force and union.

Are BT pensions linked to the RPI? far as i know years ago they where linked to inflation but know Royal mail changed theres to RPI, know theres not much in the difference just means pensioners end up getting that little bit less every year but mean big savings to pension provider.
