Coach, that’s a nice story. I’m similar in story but only half as invested as you. My journey to GGP included buying into some dogs and I’ve not sold out of them yet and one, BMR, a 20k black hole I can’t get out of just yet. I have decided to take enough GGP to cancel out the dogs and part of this is to get the real portfolio value growth in my head and make sure I don’t overestimate my share spotting talent. GGP is one in a million find and I’m more lucky than talented to have found it quite frankly.
That will be all I slice, not a single share more as I’m loving the ride to the end of the rainbow.

I can see my ISA sell, one of a couple at 13.34, but cannot see the buy. Anyone help me with why? (and apologies if this is a dumb question that has been answered today already)

Red, I think this is a very good question, but one that the politicians find impossible to face up to.
Up to week of March 13, the UK had an average of between 10 and 11,000 deaths per week so far in 2020, which is a little bit behind the 5 year average for this time of year. Of these deaths, 7 to 8,000 a week are in the over 75s. I think this morning the total number of C19 deaths is shy of 500. Mind you in Italy and Spain the numbers are up at 6,800 and 3,400 respectively and we should assume that our totals will be close to them in the end.
We know that the tax payer will foot the bill in the end.

Not a bad day for GGP. I just wish the Footsie could do the same for a couple of days in a row.

I fundamentally agree, as stated before, but it does have exposure to Oil. A smaller one of its Divisions, Energy, sells a sort of industrial lubricant that coats the inside of a mine shaft when drilling for Oil, or fracking for that matter.
Even so, this is not big for them and also it has had a few years of downturn due to the lowish price and the retraction of the shale business.

Couple of their markets, Energy and Coatings, are in tough markets and their refocus into Personal Care markets for sustained growth is a strategic play that has added debt. I'm sticking with the upside on this. I brought more yesterday, brought even more today to money where mouth is. BTW I certainly don't get every decision right. Even if they come under pressure and reduce profit by 25% or so the divi yield will be exceptional at these prices. Many AIM stocks don't have any revenue, many don't make a profit, but this one does both and pays a divi so I think it has legs for more.

Once sense returns, this should be worth up to a pound a share above where we are IMHO

They make money, they are paying down the debt. They play in some tough markets like coatings but also in some growth spaces like personal care. I think I will buy some more at this price.

Its a shame you lost out as the only reason you lost the cash was you walked. Gold cannot be undiscovered.

Isn’t the bigger irony that hand gel stops bacteria and this is a virus. Bacteria is good for us. Being in contact with it helps the immune system.

I don't know much either, but I started buying at about 50p in the past and enjoyed the ride to £1.50+. I even got my kids to add VRS to their ISAs as it feels like product of the future.
I just added another £5k yesterday. Feels like it is a steal at this price as the virus won't last forever.

Its been very quiet here for a couple of years. Now in one day this has shot into profit but still undervalued of course.
We are normally lucky to get 2 chats and 5 trades and now its like Piccadilly Circus.

A cabal of lifelong City fans on the GGP LTH list. Must be something about being able to stick it out through the tough times and then the good times bear fruit after a long wait. (Never forget Gillingham). I think you need to get immune to the daily tribulations and keep the faith. I certainly have it in GGP and look forward to it being rewarded a bit more this week and massively over the next 9 months. ATVB

How do you define a "genuine trader". What would be an example on non-genuine trading? Just interested.

Only 5 more days of this and I will be in the black.
