Guys, sorry to be looking for info on here. I have basically given up on my (once) £20k here and about 6 months ago thought I would put some cash into JLP, as I initially did love the idea of Kabwe and what it could do for the town as well as the investment. On the JLP BB someone called DORE123 posted "CB has sold Kabwe", so I came on here to have a look.
Lots of detailed info about the name changes etc but is this how you see the situation?

The Elementis BoD have a huge level of confidence in what they have done, what they can do in the future and where they can take the business. With that in mind, I feel that they will not be keen on the bid. I'm also confident that they can take the SP back towards the £3 from the past as they are now very cash generative and we have got back to where we are (post C19) without the resumption of the divi, before the oil price increase to bring the Energy Division back to profit and without people using deodorant!

Farewell Gervaise. Two thoughts, a big thank you for your parting gift to us of the share purchase last week that turned the SP momentum blue again, and all the very best in your new endeavours.

Isn't it marvellous to be back on the rise after so long in the doldrums. I started in here 3 years ago, just to have a share that actually made something of real value in the sense of the way it could change the way we built and made things better. I have enjoyed the rise with other shares like GGP, but kept the faith here because engineering innovation is the best way forward. From looking at other Graphene players, I also get the sense that VRS have some of the best credentials and that these would play out in the long term. It seemed to me that the focused effort of getting into China was hurt by the USA/China trade wars and now that might ease a bit too.
Back to 1.50 and beyond would be welcome of course.

Remember EG, we all knew we had the gold, but NM walked away.
So, in the lets keep all of BH and PRE scenario, we use our cash to drill away, and its not cheap as we know. Then we find, there isn't a minable deposit and its all for nought. That's a potential output which would ruin the progress GH and the BoD have made. If there is something, we have 25% and GH has seen enough of SWAG to keep it in the family.
Trust GH, look what he has done for us so far, and ask him a question at the AGM, but make it a sensible one, like - "thinking about the new JV, what types of alternatives options did you consider and why did you select this one?"

Well Dhant, if you have taken a license to a mining operation, we should consider your concern seriously, but I'm not sure you have as you would have given us some perspective on the figures. I need help from others, but it looks to me like the Hav land/licence needed about $300m to get from license to decline, and this started when our Market Cap was about 20, so what would have been your plan to raise that?
Then, for Goliath, which people say is 4 times the size, we might need $1Bn to get it going.
I trust GH and the Board to have gotten the sums right and had a tough/fair negotiation with NC.
Maybe you have done some of that and that is where your experience to comment comes from. I've only sold a business once, but he seems to get a good deal to me.

I'm not so convinced it was a bad choice for their business model, which is very different from a PI. They are looking to get into a business at the GGP equivalent of 1.5 p and see it rise to 25p, a 16 fold increase, then find the next one. GGP could well get to £1 in 2 or 3 years, but that would be a much slower rate of return for an investment business that gets the early sight of opportunities that we typically do not get. I'm very happy to keep with the GGP train, as where am I going to find a better place to invest the considerable gains from GGP (c. 5 million shares and started in 2017, pre EG). I could easily fritter 50% of it away on exciting junior miners that don't quite make it.
So they made their choice and time will tell if it was right for them. I'm happy to stay with GGP.

what a crazy share when you can double the number of RNSs in a day vs the chats on the BB.
I have been in here for about 4 years, when a colleague became the CEO and I backed him to grow my investment. As I averaged down right after the pandemic hit I'm now +150% but I still think this is undervalued and the Board should refuse the offer and keep driving the business in the way they have been. Of course, that would mean another couple of years before it gets to the £2.50 - £3 range which will not please some of the traders. Got no problem with the traders BTW, I don't have the energy to trade.

I thought I would buy in after the placing.
Just to say that my first buy at 11.03 at .415 has been listed as a sell, which would have been tricky as I don't have any to sell. Anyway, lets see what my next £5k buy gets listed at.
For a newbie, post-placing, especially when the sp drops 10%+ is a great time. Sorry for those that feel a bit cheated, but as people say, the company is investing the cash to add value.

A return to "normal" is a share price in the £3, especially as the debt will have been paid down by then and trading in these industries and products will have returned.

Agree Bryn, a real waste of time, hope and (in my case) £20k!
