Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Well, for what it's worth, today I've plugged Avacta and Medusa19 with my boss, the Operations Director of a manufacturing SME. Social distancing, shielding and furlough have knocked our operational capacity down to 50% of what it was. I have pointed out how even spending a couple of grand a day on testing all our production staff would probably pay for itself, which he seemed to agree with. I did disclose my conflict of interest ;) When this test does drop, it'll be a game changer!
2019 Financials out. No big surprises, some mention of aiming to reduce business overheads and developing projects while minimising dilution and entering into JVs etc. Some good reading for new investors nonetheless as it lays out their strategy quite clearly.
These are all prerequisites to getting stuff out of the ground. There's also the small matter of a JV or funded offtake to be negotiated.
If you want short term gains or expect production any time soon you really need to invest elsewhere. UFO are still very much in the early stages of junior miner and exploration territory, everything here is about potential. FWIW I think the way they have gone about their business in the last year or two is pretty good in this respect.
You're completely entitled to your own view T, I just find it a bit odd that the likes of you and earache choose to hang around here and discuss the company you've bailed out of. Especially given that the terms you speak of it in are so negative, but claim that you may buy back in again? I've binned off plenty of crap shares before, I don't hang around their BBs telling everyone just how crap the companies are afterwards though.
Great news. Explains the recent placing too, like I suggested at the time another opportunity has presented itself which is too good an opportunity to miss:
"Alien has signed a Letter of Intent to potentially acquire the adjacent tenement on the south eastern side of the San Celso project area that contains a third significant mineralised vein. Our aim is to finalise the deal in June."
Is it really that great a surprise that interest is waning here though? We're all invested to make money, and the only way that we will do that is by the SP appreciating. I have been invested now for over 2 years, and in that time my holding has decreased in value by over 25%, I would have been better off withdrawing the cash and sticking it under my mattress.
The simple and uncomfortable truth is that Bushveld's communications are simply not good enough at getting across their message to investors, if they were then the market would see the enormous potential of the company and invest heavily. Yes we have been subject to manipulation, but this happens all over AIM and it cannot be blamed for everything. Where other AIM listed companies will frequently update investors with relevant news, investor developments and opportunities, we simply put out dry quarterly updates, with next to no news or information in between. I'm sure there is plenty happening, but we never got told any of it.
Being a profitable company isn't enough, investors need to see where the growth is coming from, and more importantly, what scale it is on. We were promised by FM some time back that something was being worked on to address the SP. What is that, and when is it coming?
