It's fair to say that the Artisanal miners are akin to the Gypsies on Dale farm. Nothing to do with local community, a law unto themselves, and not happy to be moved on. The difference in Mali is they don't spend months/years in the courts going through various iterations of eviction notice. The govt have a big stake in HUM and were not going to be messed around. I expect plain sailing from here as the message is loud and clear - "get off my land". I actually think the govt and locals (the real community) will rally hard behind HUM now, there livelihoods and development programmes will depend on it.

BT. That means you also got it wrong? Or are you saying you invested here last year expecting to be sat at 33p today? It's too easy to call out folk that made honest predictions on HUMs fundamentals - mostly backed by broker forecasts and the valuations of its peers. If stock picking was easy everybody would be a millionaire, I still believe HUM will bag+ from here, they only think I believe I've got wrong is the timing. But as per my opening comment, your no guru or better than anybody else, or 1. You wouldn't have invested in the first place and 2. You wouldn't still be here.

Every little bit helps. I expect the "tip sheets" to jump on this RNS and start pushing it to their followers. As others have said. A very bullish RNS compounding achievements thus far and exuding ambition. Very very happy with my overweight holding. Tick tock....

DinM. I'm sure you'll agree that iis are hell bent on making money? So would seek out undervalued companies, based on current value and some view of forecast based on future potential. They would not therefore buy companies, where considering the above they already deemed them to be at fair value? Considering this, why would an ii buy 6.2m placing shares in one trade if this was not considered undervalued in the eyes of the city professionals? Similarly in the days following we saw big trades as high volumes changed hands - not the activity of your average PI. And why would brokers issue valuations of 50p+ based on "as is" value? To deceive their clients? I'm genuinely interested in your view. How would you explain recent big trades, at this level?

So to say "What the share price is telling me is that the market/institutional investors dont buy into DB's and the management plans" is another poor comment. It's pretty obvious we have another ii onboarding - given the recent trade activity - once the bus is loaded up, we'll be off.

I think we already have an ii onboarding. The 6.1m placing shares flipped in one trade and we have seen some big round numbers in and out. But like we would, an ii will want in at a discount so not declare the hand or intentions until they have to - i.e at 3% - recent buying volumes suggests that they might be close. In any case, it's been frustrating but while the deck chairs are rearranged by the corporates, us PIs have to sit and wait. I take solace in the fact that the recent big buys are in the 30s by professionals that will expect a return on their money. HUM is a pressure cooker building us steam, at some point this year we'll get a rally - we all hope it is sooner rather than later.

I like this post off iii, which I will unashamedly post verbatim. "As far as I can see the best analogy for HUM at the moment is that we are waiting at the bus stop. The MM's are the drivers and are currently holding the bus at the stop whilst some passengers get off and other passengers get on. They are waiting for the last srtagglers, thier mates and thier grannies to make thier way to the bus stop, before setting off. For the passengers on the bus it is frustrating, as they were expecting the journey to have started by now, and were hoping to already be a lot further down the road towards their stop. Some of us have been on the bus for a while, and managed to get a reduced ticket price, and so the current waiting is just a momentary distraction. Some have paid full ticket price and were expecting this to be an express bus, and have subsequently found that they could have bought it cheaper had they left it a little longer. The main thing to consider is that the bus will leave the stop, it will travel on the right route, and it will get to the right destination in the end. It is just a case of deciding when you are going to get off. For me, I am going right ot the terminus, as I belive that there is a rather interesting attraction thereabouts. Relax, take time to smell the fresh air and just enjoy the ride."

I estimated that if it's one buyer, then since Friday they've picked up circa 9m, so another 1.5m until they are at 3%, and would have to RNS with a TR1

Few more more added this morning, anticipating a steady rise from here now. That 6.1m change of hands on Friday showed some serious intent.

Depends on the date. If it doesn't clash with work comittments I'll be there.

AGM next month, so plenty of opportunity to ask any open questions.

It's the recent placing shares changing hands - exact match on volume. "Share Issue Further to the Company's announcement on 13 June 2017, 6,197,353 new ordinary shares in the Company ("New Ordinary Shares") have been issued in payment for the Company acquiring an additional 5% stake and 1% royalty in the Yanfolila Gold Project, which takes the Company's interest in the Project to 80%."
