Day Two at the Pit Stop: Digital Health Innovation in Action 🚀
We wrapped up an incredible second day of the Pit Stop at Capita, diving deep into the future of digital health
The day began with an inspiring Health & Wellbeing Check-In led by Professor Tony Young OBE and Dr Tamsin H. BEM, reminding us why creating space to talk about burnout and resilience is essential for entrepreneurs and innovators.
We were honoured to hear from Manoel Filho, an advocate and innovator driving change through lived experience. His work with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation UK and his reflections on World AIDS Day were a powerful reminder of the importance of visibility, dignity, and access to testing and treatment.
From there, the agenda was packed with insights:
✅ Dr Dr Lloyd Humphreys, Managing Director at programme partner Cogniss, shared his journey from NHS clinician to entrepreneur, offering practical advice on building digital health apps using low/no-code solutions.
"Always keep your north star in mind – your why."
✅ Sam Young and Tom Willetts from Capita gave us a masterclass in AI, including a live demo of building an AI healthcare agent in real time.
✅ Dr Ali Nehme Bahsoun, COO at MediShout, delivered a candid founder story and lessons learned:
"Be ambitious, get the most out of your time here. You don’t get it back."
Ali also provided an insightful overview of software development, sharing practical tips and key considerations for anyone working on apps and digital platforms.
✅ Jordan Hawkings from ORCHA closed the day with essential guidance on compliance and standards for digital health solutions, including ORCHA Assured, DTAC, and DSPC ISO.
