Also another little thing i keep my eye on is the £1.29 balloons at the till. They fill those and empty them so fast in Manchester. A great little add-on to any sale and I bet the mark-up isn't too bad on those

When I work from home I nip out for a walk at lunch. There are two Card stores in the Arndale (about 30 second walk from each other) both are busy almost all the time

There was a point Andy (the compliance guy) made a comment a while ago that they can work out if a factory is making a fair margin based on the rate of production. They know what they are paying for the order so if they know the rate of production and input costs they can get to the fair margin

This will have been done for these factories so this will be the owners skirting the agreed rules

In a company you can try all you want to stop fraud but if the do-er and check-er collude then not much you can do

Are you a bit thick? Look at the graph it's also in teh next report you linked - it shows next sales falling in end of June which is the same period as Asos said was "muted"

You even say in you point 2 - 2. The onset of extremely warm weather at the end of May and start of June. Growth
significantly slowed once the very warm weather passed. - ie bad weather impacted end of june sale which was exactly what asos said

the other week you said a boohoo £7 t shirt was expensive as primark sold a plain t shirt for £4. This isn't the feudal age and everyone wears plain clothing purely for the benefit of protection from the elements

This is selling off as there is no holiday season. Investors are nervous to how this will impact revenue over the summer. It's not a long term fundamental change as rest of world vaccinated next year and all back to good

I'm not doubting any of the above my point was just to correct the initial statement that somehow the reduction in moonpig revenue will go to card. My point was that statement misunderstands the FY19 positions (where card operated at full capacity)

I never stated a view as to say Moonpig would steal directly from Card

"CF expect it to remain stable until 2024" - this is actually the same source and it's a slight decline. They just posh it up with "stable" as they model price to offset fall in volumes

I think online web is fine. It's the app which is the moat. 6 million downloads last year alone is very impressive. Card did 180k? And Card's app is awful

The product is constantly in the wrong places it's upsetting and needs more investment

Noticed in the tesco stores I use they have recently massivlely expanded the areas for cards so they are also looking to make a charge

On average a quality card is £3 vs £1.59 in Card so value shopping will still shine. I also think people "pop into" a card store as part of the fun of browsing

This is why Boohoo aren't doing this it costs a huge chunk of change but ultimately it's the smart move. Asos premier can deliver in 2 days vs 8-10 days from boohoo

I agree with the small add ons but my point was more around the general and more high margin items such as cards etc. Don't forget the Ceo's vision is card led

Selling a choclate bar for £1 is good but I'd rather sell a card for £1.79. My point was get the load up online as well as in store

Yeah have to see I think in terms of click and collect it will certainly bring customers to card (why pay £15 for a balloon you can pick up for £4) but they might not shop when at the store so need to make sure they fill the basket online

I should say I think champagne etc is an easy add for card if they can get their party range right. This I think can be by click and collect

They are working on this and I think it could be a great addition as younger people can just nip in

Card need to chase the areas where moonpig grow. Click and collect for balloons is part of this. They just need to not look cheap and tacky
