gymshark is more appropriate a comparator than Asos as it is also it's own brand and not a reseller of other brands. Boohoo should attract a premium to this as it has multi brands and therefore a wider demographic to engage with and stay in touch with across the customer journey ie go to work in a Karen Millen dress, night out in a PLT dress and then edgy Sunday hungover instagram photo in a MissPAP outfit

I think TCM has a point and I would like to hear more on this front however I actually think the outcome of what to do with the factory will be an output of Leveson's work. Why appoint someone to help enforce this agenda for change when we have already taken such confirmatory steps? So I think TCM is right but the timing is that process needs to happen before the action happens (that just how corporate's do things). It much like the auditor everyone keeps mentioning that it will be announced, we have just appointed a Head of Audit committee so nothing would have been done on this until he came into the role and he will largely be pivotal in the appointment so this is not going to be soon and we are unlikely anywhere with it atm but I wouldn't expect us to be

@Mahmas01 they have over the past few years given a no numbers update saying that Black Friday has been a strong performance (quite common that retailers do this as its a peak event)

My thought would be Boohoo lend Arcadia the £30m with a security over the brand names and then websites. If Arcadia goes bump we get the assets we want for a reasonable price without the stores and hassle etc. The stores would then fall away or have to be rebranded (but they have 0 value without a brand)

If Arcadia survive we get the £30m back and some interest (would be more than we are getting in the bank atm)

Also from a PR perspective this looks good as a huge sign of strength but also Boohoo helping to save the high street. We could potentially request a seat on the Arcadia board as well

They are separate things. Nothing spicy on the agenda although they will vote on keeping their auditor a privilege we don’t currently have! Ha

This is exactly what Boohoo do just some items cost up to $200 due to materials etc. No different to our offering

Likelihood is Fashion Nova have a lower cost of production than Boo in the US so unlikely we could actually back up a price war and win

My view would be Fashion Nova acquire Boohoo by one of those cash rich SPACs over in the US. There is a wall of money ready to acquire businesses and Boohoo P/e rating (compared to Gymshark which saw US investors) is low so there is likely arbitrage to make the deal work and still create value

Combined this would be an unstoppable fashion retailer so get in bed together rather than compete. Fashion Nova is likely our on headwind into increasing USA sales
