I suspect the retailers are making very healthy margins on these as much as 60% I would say. I've worked in development within the audio industry and having looked at one of these I'd guess at less than £30 to make. The derampers are knocking the product for being cheap and nasty but forgetting/ignoring the fact that these are cheap to make. We all remember Amstrad!

... and that is exactly why this will sell, because it's easy to set up. Regardless of what the muppets think there is a market for this. Knock it all you want but you won't stop it selling.

Thanks mate. The key here is demonstration and if they can crack this through the like of QVC then they will sell lots of these units regardless of what other products are on the market.

The issue with streaming music is there are a certain age bracket who find it difficult to use. I worked in consumer electronics for a large audio company and it's suprising how many folk still use CD's because they don't understand the concept of streaming. The industry is moving at a rapid pace and leaving quite a few folk behind, this product is aimed at those. Yes Spotify/Amazon fire stick etc etc are great but if you don't understand the technology it's s non starter i'm afraid.
