decided to top up yield roughly 3.7% will add more on further price weakness
What do you think the share price will be in the mid term . There are stronger yielding companies out there but if share price does climb then worth holding what are your thoughts
Share price marked up as the market makers know dividends are to be re invested following special 20p and 6.7p dividends now that is over share price drops back just my opinion happens a lot when companies pay dividends as they know auto reinvest of dividends on horizon good luck to all who invest in RMG
Nice to see a small dividend increase ......Just under 6% yield nice share to hold
The Board has determined that the Company should announce a fourth interim dividend of 5.6 pence per share which will be paid on 21 January 2022 to shareholders on the Register on 24 December 2021, with an associated ex-dividend date of 23 December 2021. This takes the total dividend for the year to 21.2 pence per share, which is a 2.9% increase on the dividend declared for the 2020 financial year and the 21st consecutive annual dividend increase paid by the Company. The Board recognises that this increase is not fully covered by the net earnings of the portfolio, but has concluded that given the strength of the recovery in the Company's earnings in the last 12 months following the Covid-19 pandemic and the confidence that the Manager has in the sustainability of the revenue account into 2022 and beyond, that this significant increase was appropriate. The Manager expects that earnings will continue to recover from here and are likely to exceed the cost of the projected dividend distributions in 2022.
Think you could have hit the nail on the head will not be surprised if we see a placing in the not so distant future Robbo . My other holding UKW and THRL both had share placing recently but I normally just buy on the dips down after announcement to lower my average price .Think DUKE has a lot of potential in the next year or so .
Both dividends paid are going to be paid at the same time I am Not 100 percent sure but think that 200m has been allocated for special dividend but due to buybacks this cant be calculated until the XD dividend date then dividend can be calculated eg 200m divided by ordinary shares in issue 999,712,351 ordinary shares .which comes to around 20p per share i expect an RNS will be released soon on this if any body has any other info much appreciated
i am invested in AGR and also invested in PHP very similar companies both have been on a share price drop for around 3 months now but with yields of around 4% for both companies. I am happy to top up on any share price weaknesses hopefully both are near the bottom of their declines now . Latest results for AGR seemed ok and year on year are looking good . The placing of new shares has had a impact on the share price but is needed to grow the portfolio ......A total of 267,554,740 new ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 10 per cent of the Company's existing issued share capital (the "Placing"), will be issued at a price of 68.0 pence per share (the "Placing Price"), raising gross proceeds of approximately £182 million. Any one else have any input will be much appreciated
Love to see all the different topics and insights from Royal mail employees and fellow investors on here . I have been invested for a few months in RMG and invest for income and hold long term at a yield of around nearly 4% RMG ticks most boxes for me . Seems like the soon to be released results will hopefully give a little lift with regards to the share price will keep adding in small chunks into RMG at around the current price if it climbs will just sit back and take the dividends thanks to all who contribute on here much appreciated
Bought some more today to average down as the share price seems to be on quite a drop now yielding around 4.18% assuming a dividend of a round 7p announced at next results to add to the 10p from earlier seems a good entry point will top up again if falls further
Royal Mail PLC is the biggest faller in the leading index, after a broker downgrade.
Its shares have lost 5.93% to 450.8p as UBS slashed its rating from buy to sell and cut its price target from 590p to 440p as it believes the company faces rising costs.
UBS said: "We expect increasing opex cost pressures are coming at a time when the pricing power within the industry is likely to decline as more parcel sortation capacity is added in 2022. We expect peak uncertainty around: i) UK parcel volumes in the fourth quarter; and ii) wage inflation ahead of the negotiations with CWU (current agreement ends March)."
It believes Royal Mail could potentially unlock value by spinning off its Dutch based logistics business GLS but added: "We believe this is unlikely to happen until more clarity on the new run rate of parcel/letter volumes and union negotiations emerges (first quarter of 2022).
The Board has announced a second quarterly dividend of 5.50p per share which will be paid on 24 September 2021 to shareholders on the register on 27 August 2021, the ex-dividend date being 26 August 2021. It remains the Board's intention to distribute substantially all of the Company's available income. Bought some more on the drop today and also like the small increase in dividend they have announced

have just done the exact same thing with PNN sold just before ex div bought back the day after nice little drop . share price held up well though as PNN now starting buy backs .. Onwards to SSE ex dividend date and hopefully things will work in are favour happy investing and good luck
I plan to sell all my SSE shares day before ex dividend hopefully time it right to get a high price for them then buy back if they drop enough after ex dividend no time frame . Once the final dividend 56.6p is paid you have to wait till Jan 2022 for the next one to go ex dividend roughly 24p. Big money will move to better yielding pastures do not have a crystal ball has worked for me in the past mostly but not always
