Can I hold a REIT in my ISA?
Importantly, REIT shares can be held within a SIPP or ISA where the PID will be paid gross and higher rate taxpayers and additional rate taxpayers will not be liable to further tax.
I hold Assura in my ISA you do not have taxed deducted from the dividends in the ISA wrapper regardless of dividend or PID in a normal investment account you would . Holding this share long term in my dividend income portfolio as well as PHP and THRL .
Time to buy on the drop ??? Will be watching next few days and buying to add to my existing holding when I think the time is right . May be a little more of a dip in share price. The dividend cut although not popular makes the company finances more sound so a possible good entry point for the long term
A key focus for investors is Haleon's ability to pay down its hefty net debt pile of close to £11bn. Haleon is targeting Net debt/underlying cash profit to be below 3x by the end of 2024. For the current year consensus forecasts suggest that Haleon is trending for a level of about 4x. With this in mind we were a little disappointed that Haleon couldn't move net debt in the right direction during the third quarter. Haleon's cash generation will need to improve if its targeted debt ratio is achievable. Debt reduction and any associated fall in financing and interest costs will be a key driver of earnings growth in the short to medium term.
The chunky debt position could likely be what prompted Haleon to guide at the half year point that its initial dividend is expected to be at the lower end of a 30-50% pay-out range. Please remember no dividend is ever guaranteed.
Subject to Haleon Board approval,” the GSK circular states. “Haleon expects to pay a dividend to Haleon shareholders in relation to the second half of 2022 in the first half of 2023, subject to Haleon Board approval and following approval of Haleon's FY22 results.”7 Oct 2022 . Hopefully this will be the case but nothing is ever certain
I am buying these on any share price weakness as this will soon become a dividend paying company ... Hopefully buying HLN shares now will prove to be at a good discount . I plan to hold long term as my portfolio is geared for dividend income.
thanks Cacher very detailed presentation all looks good for the future of this share lots of forward thinking in place ...
Anglo terrific ??? Or something like Greener royalties ticker symbol GREAT
.Net debt and Gearing: At the end of the second quarter 2022, net debt was $46.4 billion, compared with $48.5 billion at the end of the first quarter 2022, mainly driven by free cash flow, partly offset by dividends, share buybacks, and lease additions. Gearing was 19.3% at the end of the second quarter 2022, compared with 21.3% at the end of the first quarter 2022, driven by net debt reduction and higher equity.
Moving in the right direction
I do not pay commission charges I use trading 212 only pay stamp duty all held in an ISA as some of my holding are REITS . Some are FTSE 250 . You are correct if I used a normal broker the charges per transaction would make a nasty dent in reinvesting the dividends . Ticker symbols incase anybody is interested in some of my Quarterly payers my favourite being APF

I hold about 60 shares in total all good dividend paying shares and UK based and most pay quarterly . As soon as dividends are paid I reinvest in the shares that are the best value out of the 60 not necessarily the one which has just paid out a dividend . This strategy has been very good for my investments over a longer term . As you say always seems to be a premium to do dividend reinvestment kind of a captured audience
BP now believes it can breakeven on a cash basis at $42 a barrel for Brent crude. Reported Oct 2020 so at current oil prices BP are set for more good Quarters to come if it drops down to around $60 as asked so making money great share to hold in my income portfolio .Good luck to all who invest
Been adding almost daily just a few shares at a time got a feeling we have reached the bottom or very near good yield now of around 4.65% . Read a recent article saying that Assura has a lot of older properties which need up dating for the modern NHS needs so to update these will cost Assura in the near term . Mid to long term good entry price good luck to all who invest in AGR
Your welcome Billbongo Yes UKW is a steady ship with all the market turmoil around she keeps sailing pretty smoothly nice share to hold and with around 5.3% yield what is not to like good luck to all who hold
I have a share account with Trading 212 they let you buy shares from £1 upwards so you can buy small amounts of shares and also fractional shares eg £1 buys you roughly 0.60 of a UKW share this would explain why you see small trades quite often for 1 or more shares
