Ah. That would make sense. Disappointing. Always fun to see a large trade come up.

I note that Google has the lowest trade of the day being 44.65p which I haven't seen come up as a trade yet so we may have at least one more person being 'mugged'.

Interesting trading yesterday.

I suspect that there is still something to be reported around the 9:00 mark. This would fit with the suggested 2.5m trade I believe. If so, you could argue it either way but the obvious suggestion would be a sell. If/when it turns up, we will have to have a look at the price and assess.

I would also not rule out there being additional trades from late in the day. The drop felt more than just a fishing trip but we shall see.

Ha! I bet it was complex yesterday.

Just to add to this, we are still above where we finished on Monday. This is not going to go up every day and volatility will occasionally hit the share price. Day to day fluctuations may be exciting/terrifying but the long term trajectory has not changed.

AIM is indeed a strange place and one that has a fair number of sharks swimming around in it that will not care less if their gain is at the expense of others. Most AIM investors really shouldn't be.

I agree that we will be making a significant amount of money from the electrolyte. But there is an argument for buying the IP. If you want to be rated as a tech company then you have to have the IP. Otherwise you are a raw material provider and will attract a lower PE. So I understand the argument. However, the model of leasing electrolyte and having an element of Vanadium price recession proofing will attract a higher rating in itself and is a much more achievable (and lower headache) operation.

You have to consider where Bushveld make most of their money in the provision of VRFBs.

It is not in the hardware, which is sourced from another company and which would likely generate a small margin.

It is not in the service provision of the machine to the client, which would be largely based on the number of man days required to deliver it.

It is in the electrolyte that they provision for the battery and the Vanadium that is used to make the electrolyte. This will always be the case unless they buy a VRFB manufacturer.

I confess that I do not buy into this. For a start I don't think that Bushveld Vanadium will ever separate from Bushveld Energy. What makes the company work is the synergy and Vanadium price recession proofing. Secondly, Bushveld do not hold any technology IP. For them to be considered a tech company they would have to buy someone like UET or RedT.

The price is due a drop. At some point some will cash in a part of all of their holdings and/or the market makers will go hunting for stop losses, etc. Corrections are healthy and enable a base to be formed for a continued rise. Nothing has changed and the price has been going down for all of a few hours compared to the days of climbing beforehand. What I would like to see is any significant trades turning up to suggest stake reduction or increase.

Very true. I cannot think of any company that I have invested in that has had the same development path as this or any kind of similarity. It is unique.

I would also add that anyone who invested in October 2013, as many of us did, did not do so in the company in its current form. We invested for technical reasons in an iron ore company that was being smashed by distressed sellers. The story has evolved brilliantly by the executive team into something that is truly ground breaking and their timing could be described either as fortuitous or inspired. I would like to think a bit of both.

I believe that we have a couple of duplicate 150k trades. It's like an old friend returning.

The 46.5p is the end of day auction price which is used as the price in preference to the mid price. It looks today like there were some naughty people toying with the price.

They are done and dusted. But I doubt whether those are the only delayed trades from today. I suspect we may see some more turn up tomorrow.

They don't supply quite that much. Remember that their production is stated as tonnes of V2O5 rather than contained Vanadium (which BMN state). V2O5 is 56% Vanadium.

I sympathize though as it's difficult to judge when a market is undergoing a structural change like Vanadium. We have had Morgan Stanley apparently predicting a 5 year bull market (although the source of this information remains unconfirmed) and I see here:

That CSA are predicting ongoing deficits for the next 10 years! Now, as far as I am concerned, a deficit situation puts the sellers in control of price so pressure will remain for a substantial period if this is the case and I do not expect them to remain stable - they will go higher.

Of course, this is all speculation and we know that forecasts only have one thing in common - they are always wrong. But the spirit of these forecasts is consistent and that is that this price rise is, unlike 2005, sustainable. That is a huge thing as it will mean the market begins to value assets in a new price paradigm. I.e. PE multiples will rise substantially and deposits previously thought uneconomic will be reassessed.

Apologies for not remembering it was you jogj99. I think that you are insane but this proves that the world occasionally loves insanity! Good luck to you and enjoy your just reward.

A massive 'chapeau' to those people that went all-in on this in the dark days. I don't mean those who invested some of their assets (like me), I mean those who put pretty much everything on the line (e.g. knuttie and the person that got a loan/sold his wife). It was such a risky thing to do by most yardsticks but your faith has rewarded you enormously. I thought you were mad at the time and still do. But at least you are now comfortably off and mad.
