The darkest times were sub-2p. That was pretty desperate and I recall then that nobody really understood why the hell we were still going down.

I confess that not even the share price shenanigans are as interesting as Eoin Morgan's knock today.

I interpreted the question more along the lines of why would one sell when news was good rather than why would the share price not respond to the good news. The evidence of at least one significant seller is pretty irrefutable.

Sometimes holders will have reasons to sell other than company specifics related. It may be that a fund has a limit on the percentage they can hold in one company, there may be a need for the money for a project, there may be other investments that they wish to pursue, etc. so it is difficult to come up with one coherent answer to why decent news has made little difference. If some entity has made a decision to sell they will quite often sell regardless (see Erongo and Obtala as examples).

I think today we have seen evidence of some PIs selling some which is akin to 'normal' trading whatever that means on AIM/BMN.

I have not heard any suggestion that this is the case.

Fascinating price activity again. The 27p trade reported is once again designed to obfuscate and make the subsequent trades appear as sells (which they aren't). At that point the mid went to 26.5p despite the fact that there were no reported trades above that level apart from the spurious 27p trade. The caveat, as always, is the potential for unreported trades.

The share price recently has looked like a design for the latest ride at Alton Towers and given the penchant for delayed trades there are usually very few trades published in real time to explain the journey. A wild ride at the moment!

Share prices tend to be more volatile in low volume trading so that smallish trades can cause disproportionate moves. I am slightly surprised that this has come off quite so much this morning. Suggests that people are unwilling to commit too much currently. Perhaps there is an element of waiting for confirmation on various fundamentals: the Vanadium price is on the up, production numbers are going in the right direction, Vanchem purchase, etc. As these fall into place sentiment should gradually improve.

It looks like they can't even be bothered to report trades any more but just move the price up and down!

This should be MUCH higher than this with gold at current levels and goes to show that there are some drags holding this back, principally the debt repayments this quarter and the VAT/political situation In Tanzania. Operationally the company is performing very well and I see no reason why Q2 results should not continue this trend, particularly as they will likely optimise revenue at this time when debt repayments are due. Nothing is guaranteed (see ASO as an example) but the outlook looks pretty promising.

If you get mugged in an UT then it is wholly down to you. It is just another obfuscation and I would ignore it.

I suspect that the spread is there to ensure that all trades look like 'sells' currently. Just the usual obfuscation.

They are having a bit of a go this afternoon but not making much of a dent. Once again I suspect that there are trades not being printed.

The bid/ask finished 28/29 yesterday but there was a UT for 29.2p. As a UT is a matched trade, a lot of platforms use this price as the current indicative price. Unfortunately UTs are subject to some manipulation by those with direct market access who wish to influence the price in various ways so quite often they mislead more than they inform the price narrative.

It wasn't down. It was up 0.25p. Yesterday's closing price was 28.5p.

It is not a coincidence but I wouldn't start feeling persecuted. This is just how they make a market and the activity you are seeing is different market makers competing with each other within that framework. Remember that a lot of big trades are not published at the time of execution so working out the price movements based on latest (or 15 minutes delayed) reporting is like calculating the sum of two numbers when you only know one of them.

Interesting. I can't find much information about this operation. Any idea of the likely production levels of V2O5?

I don't think that it is any surprise that the Vanadium price is stabilizing/beginning to rise. The surprise is that it has taken so long.

Lemur was a means to an end when it was taken over. It is now, and has been for some time, a project that does not fit with the company vision. As such, it should be separated. Whether that is through a trade sale or demerger does not particularly bother me, although receiving funds that reduce the need for debt if such is used for the Vanchem purchase would be great. A JV through to production would not be my preferred route although that has the potential to deliver most value in the long term. I suspect that this will come to a head within the next 12 months along with many other pieces of news.

I believe that it is 5500 tonnes per gigawatt hour rather than gigawatt, is it not? By 'gigawatt factory' do they actually mean gigawatts or gigawatt hours?
