listen to how he describe the angle of the slope as buyers and sellers coming in ...
So when you look at the candles, the slope, you see buyers or sellers coming in, rather than just high and low prices, ..
If you look at the volume candles then you get to picture what the buying/selling is like once you know the typical trade size.
So if the price is slowly ticking up, and the sellers are few, then maybe the price will rise further to produce sellers to fill the buys...Sometimes they suddenly drop the price to entice sellers who want to preserve their profit.
Dummy trade for quotes, to get you the true spread, if its tight they want your shares..
88e, done a recent placing, kept the displayed spread the same all day, so all trades showing as sells, both the sell and buys were below mid price..
MM sometimes move, say just the Ask up, but the price continues to trade in the same range, so for a while it appears everybody is selling, until the drop the Ask back..
