@Horult, Thanks for reading it ;)
this bit. I was pointing out as being wrong, too
(4.5+9)2=6.75
I like this explanation, as it give 6p, and makes sense, corrects above, thanks :)
"what you actually have is (2 shares at 4.5p + 1 share at 9p )/3 = 6"
Will help out, as I have look at why my calculated average, is different from my account..
Until recently my account would only be opened to make a trade, so never paid much attention to the valuation screen.
Figures in my head, just a few trades a year, buy once or twice then sell the lot,,
Agree on your example using He1, so sounds like our accounts work the same, and its to some standard, rather than being an outdated platform...
Only noticed recently, when I decided to trade some, while keeping a set amount..
Created a spread sheet
So likewise its looking like each time I have bought and sold, above the price of my main 88e holdings its been averaging up, reducing the value in the profit column. Which will explain why I keep thinking "sure it should be more",
So need a spread sheet, to confirm my profit, and set some prices to aim for, rather than relying on the percentage profit.
Seems the brokers platforms, could be vastly improved, should'nt need to create separate spread sheets theses days
Much appreciated, thanks
