Quite crafty how, after all the planning, both operational, and financial the original CEO stepped down and in came DM ready for operations..
So he inherited the notion of drilling 3 wells, and making a discovery with just £5m..
And for the off-takers to scramble for a slice of the pie...

Thats the guy putting through multiple trades, and changing the trend..

Maybe thats what is happening on 88e, big money guy, releasing a string on sells, price starts to fall, people start selling.. Maybe backs cheaper, maybe just waits for the target sell price before selling again..

Then if you get to that stage, you will be a competent traders, probably capable of splitting your money across a number of shares.. While for me 1 active share is enough..

Also, I guess you will have invested in better trading tools, making you more aware of quick changes..
I am watching the live volume now,
I also see the prices tick through, so thats a good clue, so need to train my thoughts to sell/buy & volume relationship...

If you took 11% a month over 5 years, starting with £5k, £1,137,000(total 52 trades @11%)
That could be 2x 5.5% or whatever, its just about hitting 11% per month..
Secret is not to lose to lose on any, 1% is a winner, thats a year on the high street, banks..
I have a nasty habit of doing good on one, then losing bigger on the next,
In the beginning growth seems slow, first 20 probably feel like your never going to get to retire
by 40 trades , you will be a trading Ace, and flying

I am getting old, by the time I worked through Horult's example my coffee had gone cold ;)

I wont be using the profit shown in the account..
Its getting blurred, when you end up trading a share as it cycles up and down..

What partly brought this to light was while out walking I thought,
Second 50%er, needs £5k invested, and so £2.5k profit,
So 1M shares at 0.75p is just that.
So thought, should have sold 1M, at the 2 opportunities at or above 0.75p
But the 1M cost more than that, but as long as I dont sell the rest at a loss, its financial wizardry lol

So its easy to lose sight of what your supposed to be selling at, so thought I needed to pay more attention to my valuation screens percentage profit, which was also starting to look questionable ..

So if you believe shares are cheap, you can pick some up as people sell to put their money to work else where, while the wait is on.. Or even put your money to work yourself.. Maybe trade the He1 shares..

Its a lot better situation than being strung along....

And if there is a no news pump, it could be an opportunity,

Not quite, I have a good sized holding, so I sold the extra at a profit.
So selling the extra at profit, is a winning trade..

Buying again is just a another trade, just happens to be the same company..

Later when I was happy with the change in situation, I bought again..
If I sell those at a profit that's another win..
If I keep doing that I will about for many more years..

So not quite chasing, I thought the odds are in favor for another profit..
So playing them

If I held and they went into a loss, and I sold at a loss, then that loss deducts from the profit on my core holding.
That would be badly played..

If you go from a £100 paper profit, to selling at a £100 loss, the change in valuation for that holding is £200.
Thats how much you would have been better off taking the profit, compared to taking the loss..
If you sell at breakeven you lost opportunity to take the £100, being just a click away, its a loss as it was yours for the taking..

Then your next trade has to cover your losses, before your in profit...

But yes holding would have been a better choice this time,
but selling at close to 0.75p would have been an even better better choice
Which neither of us did,.. yep naive lol

I sold some just above that price to protect profit, on the previous dip, had to pay a little more to buy back..
And its forming higher lows on an upward trend
