GEX had a good run from yesterdays low 5p range, clipped 7p this morning.. then the sellers moved in mid 6s, but still 6.5p on the Ask..

Cheapest to buy yesterday probably 5.3p, so 100k shares will cost ~£1k more, and that was the profit on offer for a day trade..

Wil see how tomorrow plays out as I think some might be expecting rig contract, while the 25th may have just been confirmation that the rig is there for Gex to contract, .. If tomorrow was to announce rig contract then that and this mornings draft agreement could have been announced in 1 operational update.. but who knows

I think they may have been holding the price up after the offer was rejected, spread was really tight first thing, no solid reason for it clipping 20p on open after previously closing low 18p,, then it just tipped...

Maybe the rise was trying to match the Asx price eqiv ~20p,

Not sure we will see 19p until ratification ..

I had my finger on the sell at 19.2, to remove my original investment to by back if it dropped a penny but decided it was too small a block to play buyback based on previous dips less than 1p, then 3p happens lol

Lets shorten it even further. " confirmation by 25th February" , make it binary, might have another bounce off 5p tomorrow

Art the wording is soft...... most likely suggests its availability is to be confirmed by 25th, .........if its subject to booking by another that could be the case..

Maybe it was a good offer and they would look bad rejecting and declaring the bid,

If it was below previous, why did they bother giving it a look in,

Makes you think the rejection was unlikely the actual offer price, maybe a major holder objection, just holding out as conditions improve, who knows, but its something they dont want to make public

leaves it a mystery, wonder BB have not speculated it was a company being backed by US DFC funding, as DFC is keeping hush to its African candidates... I assume a US company holding a licence as such as ALLs would get lots of DFC support...

MMMMmmmmm, always seems a seller to match size after a good strong ALL buy,, should have been greedy and sold the high....

Hex, Try not to let it go negative if you are unsure whether or not there is upside,,, its likely a traders share as its sold off in the past only to reach highs later.... but maybe thats changed ....

GEX, RNS'd MT Winters drarft agreement this morning, 1st 2 bullet points, another operators field, and production figures , Winter never produced and is 75km away so not connected...... Plus RNSing a draft doc when Hussars drilling rig deadline is tomorrow seems distraction...although that rig date could just be a teaser

Since MT Winter was never a producer, so unlikely connected, and Mereenie mentioned in previous announcements its not really a highlight.. definitely does not warrant taking up the 1st 2 bullet points..

But would still make good reading as secondary info

Why is an oil field 75km away a higlight of Mt Winters draft agreement ?

Mereenie Oil & Gas field is 12 BCFG and 115,000 barrels of oil per annum

What did you decide on Hex

Just look at the holdings announcements in the RNS history to get a feel for the level of reporting

If it was good, set a new bench mark I bet they would have, but maybe there were some disclousure agreements in place

If Alpha , they do announce holding/threshold crossings,
