The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Good grief, an asset sale/divestment worth more than the entire company and booming energy prices and it still loses 25% in a few weeks.
I'll never understand makrets lol
Back to £1.50 again then is it!! GRRRRRR
Ignore me , tiny volume....
Wood Group up +19% on the US market, has something happened??
And now they have reduced their short on the 27th after increasing on the 26th! So hopefully they have sight of some upcoming good news!
Shorts increased again on the 26th? With the asset sale due, which should be very positive for the SP, what are they upto lol? :D
Just when you tihnk all the cr*p is out in the open, we are hit with yet more disappointment! More debt, no cash, and yet more cash charges. More orders, but with probably no margin in them. Hopeless!!!
GLG and Voleon capital increased on the 11th April same day as the RNS, despite maintained guidance. Hmmm....
Share price £1.54! Good grief, must be something horrendous in the accounts, 37% gone from the share price in a month! Seems very harsh for a $80m non cash charge! This share is so frustrating! - should be in a good position given all the imminent energy infrastructure investment!!!
Is Petrofac still banned from Iraq and Saudi? Or have those elapsed already ?
I presume this is the reason for yet another big drop.
32% gone since the asset sale/divestment announcement and oil is $106.
Increased their short position again the 7th, where as others are closing out! (GLG -0.09%, BR +0.07%), what do they know????
I know this got discussed already, but perhaps investors are concerned that not only is PFC gone quiet on contract wins, but also inflation is making current projects loss making, and also future bids (if commodities and energy keep rising).
On top of this there is borrowings of 600m at 9.75%, thats nearly $60m per year , for context thats the equivalent of the net income made in 2018, and 2019 (which was $64m and $73m).
Somebody make me feel better!
Thank you Pokerchips for the answer, appreciate it :)
It mentions 9.75%. Is that the annual interest charge on these notes, or for the entire period upto 2026? 9.75% sounds expensive!!
Somebody reassure me here. Is this just shorters piling in or is there something fundamentally wrong with this company all of a sudden? 3.85 average was supposed to be very comfortable from a risk perspective!
They read a bit disappointing to me. The production declines are well known and no surprises but to deliver 40%+ less profit on flat revenue is difficult to put a positive spin on!
Why has this suddenly gone into reverse despite gold surging? Has there been any news?
This could end red! :D Incredible
I know it doesn't work like this, but it is ironic. PFC Total market cap £1.2bn, win a contract worth £1.2bn, goes up 1.48%. :)
You got to laugh! :)
