Sam, I personally feel the NAV pretty accurate. Whether it's worked off discounted cash flow or of standard net asset value it's nav looks realistic... Maybe there will be a sector rotation here later this year if we get positive outcome from CPI rpi review. My largest conviction stock for 2026... Hope it plays out

Interesting one with GRID and GORE i was briefly invested in both, they were very unloved sectors, and both managed to rise close to 100% off their low's, grid has stayed there although gore has given the gain back, just shows what a change in sentiment can do. we'll not see 100% but we should see near half of that from here, we're not asking for anything we're not owed, we are only asking for a portion of our true value back...... ridiculous to see this where it is. some 1GW solar portfolios have been sold for around the 1B mark in the last couple of years, which after debt proves or NAV is fine, we just ned the market wake up -- come on folks 17% div avail, where's some gamestop fans when we need them? hehe

Just for interest I was looking at actual spreads on nesf in a few of my accounts, surprisingly aj bell was the best, just 0.257 pence, quarter a pence. My other account was more than double at 0.643

Good question always invest, at this price it's on my radar firmly too, not done my research yet but even without that I may open one. Has to be the bottom or close to... Unfortunate for lth I've too many like this down 50pc at different moment over the years but maybe good entry... Hope share price improves for all

Could be wrong but I think our assets are not as bad as the bsif, I looked over them all at the time. Plus our debt is not as scarey as it might seem due to pref shares... Or so I thought! Time will tell, I think we're worth close to nav so good gains potentially good luck all

It's sad when our investing thesis is right, company operates strong and profitable but market marks us down heavily. What to do? I've been averaging down, hopefully will be proved right

Was thinking the other day a partial sell down would likely improve things for shareholders, sell 10% of assets, net around 100M, pay 100m off the RCF, cut div by 10-15% which would allow the rcf to be further cut over next 3 yrs, resulting in potentially strong rerate of shares. also when looking at reform of the subsidy payments, probability is likely against the more severe cut so likely option b is off the table although it seems to be priced in. so option a or some variant may be most likely option. time will tell.

i did buy some more today, hopefully i won't be caught out by my analysis.

to be honest i think at this price, it will be better if the company wound up, worst case to best case there is a 40%-76% gain to be had at these prices.

im thinking something serious needs to be done with these co's. I believe there are few better investments at this price, ie for the effective 16% div into perpituity, however they are being punished badly by the market. so looks like we'll lose our great and affordable 16% div and have a wind up..... for the measely gain forementioned....

Indeed looks like overreaction. If that's all that happens, likely fair for all parties.... Sadly can't buy more, fully allocated and sitting on a paper loss..... Even a 20pc div cut wouldn't be the end of the world for these trusts so long as we yield around 10pc before a rerate

Great post Senator, completely with you on the leveraged play, cost of debt vs return on equity. I'll be very disappointed if the trust status surrendered potentially with a dividend cut. I know what im getting with this structure and it's better than most folk realise. Im sure the investor will lose out if company changed. When you understand the accounts and costs of these business, you know your onto a good thing, don't want that fkd up..

I see Alot of the current weakness due to the drop out of the 250. Dropped us from 75 to 60. I'm banking on a 18mth recovery as interest rates fall and this recovers.... That's the plan anyway just need boe do their bit and lowrer rates and further cut back the damn QT. That would make a huge difference to the likes of this

I did a set of simple accounts yesterday based on revenue and assumed costs(based on actuals where available) . To me it showed no reason why they can't pay their dividend, and pay back debt.

Looked solid. Makes me want to buy more however overweight this stock plus will I be caught out by gearing bringing on further sp weakness.... It should be solid, feel like buying more but will hold for a bit

Looks like a good deal and it may come with tax losses also. Will add nicely to the cash flow and profit of the business
