Thanks for sharing your thought Paul, I was interested to get an idea from those that are actively selling, while your not, 100% your comments are great thank you. Understandably in the same boat as yourself as an investor of past 2 years, averaging down. As there is 585 million shares lets say 70% held by retail, that 21000 small investors. Im actually surprised by what a small number that is. So collectively we are driving the price down by dumping it. I’m hoping I am not wrong on this as quite heavily invested in it. I have done my own numbers on this co and am quite confident on cash flow going forward but the risk remains, somehow we are messing up the share price and that could lead to a poor outcome for us. I wish to hold long term and see a 50% recovery in mkt cap and collect my divs along the way. It could work out this way. Or there might be a black swan event as they say and the company gets sold for much less than worth (unlikely I hope) as you say margin of safety and I think we have it here

Held by retail. Who woukd be selling and why, capital preservation should be good going forward plus substantial dividend....

What I don't like about all these energy investment trusts is the way they are walking the NAV down based on power curves.. In my view and many others, their assumptions are too low... You'd think they might realise that based on the reality of the UK energy sector. Eventually they'll get it and perhaps walk the NAV back up based on new assumptions....

Hi Dalesflyer that's just awful to read. It's been a dog for sure, but it's been a major change since covid that did it, abrupt u turn on interest rates due to nationwide inflation as a result all the money printing, plus runaway inflation....

But remember interest rate cycle turned, policy uncertainty reduced. There is some chance of rerate in next couple of years.. I hope the dividends will have helped made good your loss and maybe holding will eventually wipe out the losses, in hope anyway

45p? Yip we don't want to see that, nor 40p, ironically that's when it would be good to trade, 10p rise from 40p is 25% gain... Crazy maths at that level... I bought it for the long term, bought around 2 years ago I guess and hoping we're back in the 60s soon, surely nav close to it's true value at 88p.. But nesf board.... Communicate!

Indeed and by the end of day 8pc drop. I see ukw down 3pc too. Hard believe ftse at all time highs and still many sectors on the floor. Fundamentals not changed since start of week so another chance buy in low.... Perhaps..

The thing is with farming the land under the panels it's not really worth the hassle, except on a small scale. Nesf may graze some land for sheep as others do but it's marginal, you'll not get much or any income for that although you may not need pay someone to cut back the grass.. Cropping wouldn't be worth it due to hassle factor not suitable for machines plus the shading of the crops.... Bee keeping and wild flowers may be the best option and no doubt there will be many doing it already...

Sadly not an expert MrT but nesf generally receives a much higher £/mw perhaps more like 120? Due to the fit payments and Rocs.... Plus i can't remember they may hedge forward sales too..... So it has an effect but relatively muted due to their contracts

For what it is worth, I go into a lot of their stores all over the country and they're always doing a great trade.. I could be wrong but I don't think the average greggs customer is likely to get the wait loss jabs.... I'm tempted buy at this price..

Indeed Alot of people will have bought in at £1 or even more so the 8p div is only 8% to them.. I don't think of this really as a high yielder, the increases in the div have been conservative. It's just on such a large discount..

Intent aside, my take option 1 is most likely to come through or some equally weak or watered down variant
