RE: Look beyond the share price13 May 2020 08:13
Stuart1471, just reading your post, I generally agree with your sentiment. I do feel however we may drift a bit lower on SP but were quite close to the bottom. Once IAG resumes flying with a half decent schedule %, we should see this back to £2.50. I think were looking at 6 months for £3-3.50 perhaps, assuming there's no second peak of the Corona virus. I think to return to previous SP of £6+, your looking at possibly up to 5 years. Traffic will return, people are desperate for holidays travel will always happen. The world needs to get Covid 19 under control and when confidence returns, so do the pax. I feel IAG is in a unique position, possible competitors go under or restrained as their Govts have taken a share of them. The workforce is streamlined, costs therefore reduced, older less efficient aircraft retired with new ones coming in. A 3rd runway at Heathrow not looking like it will get the go ahead anytime soon , so IAG fully in control at Heathrow with majority of slots, this all places IAG in a great position moving forward and should come out of the current position much leaner, stronger and hence SP will head back to previous levels and more, it will just take time. Long term investors here will be rewarded. I'm topping up on the dips but now hold a decent holding. I believe in this company and have been invested here for a long time overall. GL All!!
