I agree Wiggly, wish I had dry powder to top up this morning. The MMs were laughing getting shares on the cheap, this should head back towards recent highs with news imminent and also it is widely understood that RAPID testing urgently needed to get us all moving again and airlines flying!! IAG is my other main interest, one that will also fly soon!!

I cant believe I read the question why is the SP rising! With news likely to drop anytime I was surprised the SP has dropped to be honest. Hopefully we get that all important golden egg land soon just in time for Easter!! Soon after is good too. GL All!!

Good spot Bella!! I think rapid tests are the only way forward in conjunction with people getting vaccinated. It's good to see the SP bouncing back up, unfortunately I had no extra funds to top up, but certainly won't be selling here. News is imminent and we will fly!!

I'm a firm believer that travel will open up in time for summer peaks in July/August. Vaccines and covid testing in mass is the route out of this. Covid is here to stay for sometime, so it's more working with it to deal with getting society back up and running. I personally believe Govt will be cautious on April 5th announcement, but they will be working towards May/June reopening. As more countries get through their populations vaccinations, rates if covid deaths should continue to decline hopefully. Once US opens up, I can see a number of other international countries starting to open up too. I took the opportunity to top up on the dip, the SP I don't think will be dropping from these levels. Any leak of positive news back to 225 mark, once flying recommences in meaningful numbers, I see this getting quite quickly to £3+. GL All not long now, patience will be rewarded!!

Good post Portland, I had a cheeky top up at 182, 183 this morning. I couldn't see any real reasons other than market sentiment to drag this down. I remain confident of summer flying and by that I mean July, Aug. I would be very very surprised if all at Europe still in lockdown then. Hopefully the EU countries will have got to grips with their vaccine roll outs and progressing well. Even without EU I can't see all countries remaining closed, so still believe there will be meaningful flying, the question at this stage is to which countries? I've averaged fown slightly but holding more now for a decent recovery in SP. I would say back over 200 by close of play Friday!! GL All!!

The SP may dip down further, personally I think 170 level would be bottom. Europe will start catching up on vaccines, we still have a few months to July, August. There will be huge pent up demand and its costing billions keeping countries closed!! I think it will be interesting to see what the Govt task force announces in April and that will certainly impact SP here and general sentiment. I too should have sold out on recent highs, but I didn't and will now hold. I'm confident of a recovery and also flying in Jul, Aug months and I think a number of countries will be open for business then. Until then lots of volatility in the SP but opportunity to make money, day trading or for longterm hold. IAG won't be going under anytime soon and flying should return this summer season in my opinion. GL All!!

BA will make its money on longhaul routes mostly. If US opens up along with a number of other LH destinations, Cargo could keep SH going in meantime, not ideal but at least Revenue coming back in.

I agree Anditsgone, let's wait and hear what the Govt task force says on 12th April. Once Europe get back on track with vaccine role out after Astrazenica saga, the picture should be very different hopefully by July / Aug time. I'm holding firm and not panic selling, as massive growth here still on the cards when travel reconvenes. GL All!!

Positive momentum building towards restarting, there would have to be very good reason for travel dates not to restart, given the mass vaccine Programmes and testing regimes in place and vaccine passports can be launched soon. Onwards and upwards.

We all know good news imminent, if you sell out now, you do at your peril!! Hold firm and be patient!!

The A380 works very well for BA at a heavily slot constrained Airport such as Heathrow. Instead of say three daily flights to Los Angeles you can fly the pax on two, freeing up a slot to fly somewhere else. Work well on Asian, US West Coast routes where frequency isn't important compared with say London to New York. It may take a little time for the A380s to be back, but with huge pent up demand, I don't think it will be too long!!

I believe this company will do well but never put all your eggs in one basket!! I'm invested here holding a decent amount but still hold a number of investments elsewhere. I'm confident of delivery here but with a new company there are always risks and many don't make it. Good luck to everyone, not long now until results.
