Whole market sentiment was down yesterday with new varient of Indian covid and also comments the US have made that now cast a shadow of doubt if UK and US flight link will open from next month. Hopefully see a good bounce back, if not today by close of play Friday. We'll done to those with available funds to invest on the drop. The PM made clear last night the roadmap out of lockdown remains on track. Let's hope we can have a number of countries in a good enough position in terms of level of vaccinations against covid to be classed as green countries permitting us all to travel. GL All!!

Biotech boosted by Covid test

The pandemic has transformed the fortunes of British biotech minnow Avacta, whose share price soared after clinical data showed its lateral flow test was highly accurate, Julia Bradshaw writes. 

The test’s sensitivity and specificity, a metric used by the industry to determine accuracy, were 98pc and 99pc respectively, which is better than the leading lateral flow tests already on the market.

I topped up earlier on the drop, just wish I had waited until near close of play. In anyway happy to top up, this price will be heading up!! GL All!! Exciting times ahead!!

I think nervousness reports that US might not be in green countries in May, just seen a report on the telegraph.
Hopefully US remains on track with vaccines. Hopefully stays above 200.

A great question, I think for me aim is to clear my large mortgage and allow me to retire early. This company is going to do very well indeed!! Glad I'm staying invested!! My target to get to £25.00 a share hopefully and then sell half and let the rest grow further!! GL All, can't be long now!!

I sold out half my holding, I don't mind as put it into airlines on the drop this morning. Still have a reasonable holding here and best to spread the risk!! Assuming we deliver here, this company will be massive. I will just need to hold a little longer to reach my target!! GL All!!

I agree Sunsurfer, although every death is tragic, it's great to read that the rates have dropped so low!! This bodes well for a good day on the markets!!

Today is another step in the plan milestone for opening up. Markets should react positively, things are moving forwards, rates of infections and deaths dropping and more people getting vaccinated. We do have the report back on International travel today, so a lot will hang on if there's anything new in there thats not known already. I think the PM will be under enormous pressure to get travel moving again internationally. The picture should rather more positive by June, markets always look ahead, unless negative news on the report, I see this heading back to 220 levels. A small top up for me last week here, TUI and EZJ, I think things are looking up!! GL All and be lucky with your investments!!

A very strong finish, maybe news in the morning?

Assuming good news on 12th and when we hear US routes open, this should start to fly. I'm also keeping a close eye on RR, TUI, Saga all great recovery play stocks along with BP. Lots of money to be made and those investing here will still double your money!! GL All light at the end of the tunnel!!

Daily telegraph today saying 55% of Europe will be vaccinated by end of June. What ever happens, I think there will definitely be some holidays abroad, International travel will recommence and the SP here is therefore now primed for take off. Next stop 225!! GL All!!.

Going to be interesting to see how the price reacts tomorrow my guess down initially and then decent bounce back. Alot is priced in already, but from what I understand we won't be told today what countries are in the traffic light system that the UK can travel to immediately today, assume that is therefore coming on 12 April. Either confirmation moving forward with traffic light system to restart intl travel from 17 May, regular covid testing for all, more things opening up at next stage of unlocking plan and increased numbers vaccinated bodes well!! My thoughts SP back to 225 - 230 levels. GL All!!

I think as long as we are on track for a number of countries reopening from either May or June then it should open with SP up. The US is where BA earns its biggest profits, of they open in time for summer peak, then the SP should move towards 250 mark I recon. As stockmarkets look ahead, alot of the current SP already priced in. I think there will be a decent rise once we actually achieve the milestone and people flying!!

Small top up for me, was hoping for more in the RNS, but long term, I've no doubt this company will be successful!! Patience is the key!!
