I thought the results consensus was for an operating loss of around 1.2 billion. From what I've just read they've come in under this, so I think shown reducing the weekly burn rate and Cargo up. I personally think not bad results considering current situation, SP will be up today!! Then it all depends on what's out there later on the countries opening up. I'd US is green, there will be big tick up here Monday am. GL All!!

Good luck everyone on your choices today, it's going to be interesting, results out this morning and this evening the UK government expected to confirm travel to go ahead from 17 May and what countries are in green as part of the traffic light system, so initially the countries you can travel to without having to quarantine. I'm expecting a tick up in SP today. GL All investors here.

I was going to ask the same question, why change advisor? My immediate thoughts the European market to give greater exposure, many here saying Nasdaq. We need the US to open up and in particular LHR-JFK. BA makes a lot of money on that route. The results are anticipated to be bad, once results out of the way and travel can recommence alas with a limited amount of countries, it should give confidence that this is the start of recovery of the sector. End of June, more countries hopefully on the green list and SP will be towards 230-250 mark in my opinion. I still hold out for 300 by year end, on assumption massive pent up demand and many more countries and big hitters on the list e.g. all Eurooe open, USA, etc. GL All.

I think the results won't be great but IAG didn't waste time in making cuts and utilising furlough as much as possible. They also renegotiated their deal to purchase Air Europa. They have been busy flying Cargo too. It wouldn't surprise me, given that they haven't resumed their flying schedule that they still announce results better than consensus, we will see. Going to be an interesting week as we head towards Fri morning!!

With all the talk of rapid flow tests all over the news today, surely a good bump in SP when markets open Tue am. Just need a whopping RNS to land to light the Avacta rocket!!! Glad I topped up, once news lands goodbye sub 300.!!

Good post Linkop, the Government will most certainly progress with next steps of the lockdown, UK aviation industry its on its knees and there is serious pressure mounting from Easyjet,, IAG heads to get things going. Unless there is a serious curveball thrown in next few days or in results, I can only see this moving upwards towards 220-225 range. We need US to open up and then there should be a good bump up here. GL All traders its going to be an interesting week.

I haven't heard from RichKen in quite sometime, is he still about? Very knowledgeable chap and I enjoyed reading his posts.

I'm not sure there will be a drop, 200 seems to be the base at the moment, with markets forward looking it would need to be something bad from the results that's unexpected.

Hi Bigblue, your right media and the airline industry been very focused on wanting the industry to restart. It all hangs on the number of companies that will be green initially and what countries. If the US IS in the mix, then I see a big tick up. Results out on Friday so will be a very interesting week. I've managed to average down from 230 to now 173 by mix of day trading and participating in the rights. I'm confident of a solid recovery here and in other companies in the aviation sector. GL All!!

I've now invested here a decent amount, I remain confident this company.will deliver. Has the wait been frustrating, yes, but it will be worth it when the test is announced good to go and secured contracts are finally announced. I've a target of £10-£12 per share. Hi All, just seen the Daily Telegraph, looks like International getting green light next week.

The ban on overseas holidays will end on May 17, the Government is set to announce next week, in the first step to reviving foreign travel.

It will no longer be illegal to go abroad from that date, meaning summer holidays overseas will be allowed, with a traffic light system for countries to be introduced.

The travel traffic light system: what is it and how will it work?

Initially only a "tiny handful" of countries are expected to be on the "green list", however, and everyone – even those who have been vaccinated – will have to take a PCR Covid test after returning to Britain.

Most European countries are expected to be on the "amber list", which will require tests and quarantine on return.

A senior government source told The Telegraph that ministers believe they can "keep tight controls in place at the border while taking a significant step forward on international travel".

I've topped up at 201, this share is going one way next week, I don't think that is down, unless a fresh new curve ball comes in to drag the sentiment down!! GL All!!
