DFS site: It's inconceivable that they haven't noticed at eve HQ. I imagine they will sort it out shortly.

Normally the March TU would just be fleshing out the Jan early figures. In view of the DFS deal I think we can expect more of an optimistic outlining of the next few months that should give a prediction of when profit will arrive; hard to imagine them getting more downbeat than 'breakeven in UK & I' as-per the last announcement which can't have taken the DFS deal into account.

Two or three weeks of DFS sales won't give much indication (either way) so CC can really only paint a positive picture in March. Once they announce the date of the TU some people will buy shares, taking the chance that the details they'll announce will attract more investors. There's usually a rise in the sp towards such announcements (the rise doesn't always stick of course) though we are a bit early just yet – March 3rd – if the usual pattern is followed.

Good job our CBD sleep enhancing offering is licensed, though I imagine our buyers are very different anyway. Ours could easily be doing perfectly well as not affected by Facebook and Google (policy on CBD?) so far as I know.

Beckham cannabis firm’s first shot goes wide of target

The cannabis company backed by David Beckham turned its fire on Facebook and Google yesterday, blaming the internet giants’ advertising policies for its sales being well shy of where it had hoped.

Cellular Goods launched its first range of products — five cannabinoid-infused creams, sprays and tablets, including a £79 face oil — at the start of December, just before the arrival of a new chief executive, Anna Chokina, who previously had held senior roles at L’Oréal, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.

However, demand for its products, even with Beckham’s backing, has been weaker than expected. After the conclusion of “comprehensive review” of the business by Chokina, Cellular Goods has warned that sales of its first range have been “below internal forecasts”.

I just think it's interesting that they chose 'eve sleep'. Quite a compliment really, and shows that eve are perhaps gaining wider traction as the place to go to for anything 'sleep'. I have sent the link to the real eve sleep who'll ask them to amend their site I presume.

The ratio of good Trust Pilot reviews V's bad improved slightly in Feb over January which I find a relief.

Once eve announce the date of the TU I imagine that will focus share buyers' minds. Today's drop is really yesterday's drop which was disguised by the after-hours UT.

Wyn, it was down most of the day but the final Uncrossing Trade (reported after hours ) seems to have generated the closing price. I know you work on HL's closing price so will indeed be interesting.

Argos didn't have the Humax recorder I wanted within that Sainsbury store and offered to deliver it for free, same day. It arrived at 9pm, in the middle of the 3 hr slot I chose. Isn't that amazing? Maybe they can deliver an eve mattress same day too?

Wyn, maybe they'll mention Laura Ashley to get over that! When you go to Laura Ashley it points out that the order will be fulfilled by Argos.

Would be nice to see arrival of (half price) Channel 4 advertising ending with 'now available at DFS, Next, Dunelm' etc.

Just imagine if we’d heard that Simba or Brooke+Wilde were tying up with DFS; would be pretty disheartening. That’s perhaps how they are currently feeling at eve’s news.

The past 'highs' also reflect that there were far fewer shares before the dilution / placing. Without spending time going back I suspect there are around twice the number of shares these day.

I wonder whether Directors of DFS are now allowed to buy eve shares, if there was ever a problem them buying before this week. Maybe they could've bought before but the sp didn't really reflect such buying around the 2p mark.

I suspect the price will rise towards and in the week they announce the date of the full update. Probably a couple of weeks from now.

I did look at the TR1 rules yesterday and when buyers (or sellers) have to issue, but didn't really get to the bottom of it. From hearsay on these boards and from the link I posted it's 3% and then every subsequent 1% but I have heard that a buyer can wait if they continue to buy and haven't finished. So DFS could buy and we might not know. Early days and maybe they'd just buy when they see how things are going, rather like we might buy on an RNS of good results rather than at the pre-result's stage.

I think I know the day the DFS deal was signed; it was the day they gave the mattress away in Antrim :)
