Why publish a detailed model of RC maybe + ascot that takes us over 2mt until cb is sure he’s leaving nothing major out of the deal?
Publishing that puts us straight into a negotiation with AA
No harm playing a bit hard to get - I think he wants to sell to AA
He’s getting them interested , if every month goes by we are adding resource value and we have plenty of cash-flow to continue drilling with Fairbride, it may be in AAs interest to make a decent offer sooner rather wait 6 months until we might declare 4 or 5mt equivalent.

We are effectively in the negotiating or pre negotiation stage so it’s cat and mouse.

With Fair bride income any potential buyer knows we have all the time in the world should we need it - so Colin is right to flag up that possibility of exploring Footrot etc - it would just encourage a buyer to give a solid price for a 2mt figure now , which I’m sure most of us in reality would be v happy with
For me that’s 20-25p for bushranger , leaving 5 to 6p as value of the rump of xtr

Quite interesting to me that all the doom merchants /neg heads who apparently have other share holders interests at heart only come out when the price is at a low mmm

tbf there isn't a lot to follow up at the moment - no one can pretend that those last 2 RNS were exciting

but they don't affect the very significant tonnage already found
they have also shown us errr where NOT to drill which is part of this game
as long as they are learning and refining the model its all good

there will be a couple of humdingers from ascot incoming in due course

the only things would really be worth colin talking about would be completion of the pit model (it isnt hes said that)

if its 25p or 30p for Bushranger then i suppose the rest has a valuation of something like 5p if the likely net of $1m per month is acheived from the african assets as expected

if its less than 2mt in the open pit we have all of ascot very close which would take us well over

in any case the "decision to mine" is all that is needed to get the ngotoating ball rolling.

it appears that the first refusal option with AA is not that well drafted and the 80% buyout clause makes it unpalletable for both sides.

From what I understand without seeing the full model , this hole 26 is showing copper and gold at depth in addition to good findings at shallower depths with a good number of previous holes , this hole drilled at different angle to test this very hypotheses and came up trumps

As usual the general market looks at the RNS and says one good hole but at depth , one pretty poor hole meh price sags

We know differently , as CE says it shows we are starting to delineate the resource for the open pit .

There will be a lot of good and very good assays on the way from rc and Ascot especially plus the Manica commencement upcoming all of which will give things a big boost before long

Not to mention the updated open pit model, can’t wait !

I don't think there's any particular limitation on when negotiaitions can start or end - if a major feels that there is enough meat on the bone here in the next couple of months for a $500m swoop it could happen quite quickly - and I'm sure Colin will feel that its better to get a bird in the hand if its a juicy one

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if conversations were occurring in the event AA turn down the 2mt if it’s not quite the right fit for them .
There’s plenty where it will be a very good fit .

I would say that by now XTR management have a pretty clear idea of the general potential size and quality of Ascot, and a very clear idea of the final outcome of Racecourse being 2mt ++
there are a lot of drills and assays outstanding. colin will be trying to keep his cards close to his chest perhaps at the moment but if an idea of the general large scale of our resource is gradually emerging, that accounts for the nice sustained rise last few days.
this is just a catch up news release and causes a few to sell

Maybe there's an opportunity for someone in the know know to pick up a few more as this 7/10 RNS encourages a few to sell.

If Colin does have a couple of nice bits of news, today would be a great day to drop them and get us well into the 6/7p range

I'm pretty sure I met a stock broker boss at the investor meeting who was there on this large investor's behalf (and others). he was pretty clued up on XTR and said he represented a VHNWI with a big chunk of the stock - also said he would be recommending XTR as a buy as a result of that evening's presentation.
