Kibo was coal and REM's when i first invested there, but the REM's have been dumped for peanuts or hived off, ie KAT, even MED is being separated , leaving Kibo as purely coal. Could be a good strategy to ensure anything of value is disassociated from that dirty word coal. ORCP is doing the reverse. Can see the logic in both strategies depending on the starting point I guess

ORCP have acquired a gold project in OZ. Seems their strategy is the exact opposite of Kibo, they add Gold to Coal and Kibo hve it off. I think that could be a very positive strategy, let's see who's right, Louis or Naheed

I hope it's not a distraction away from coal, seems the opposite from what Kibo have done, they have siphoned the gold away from coal. Interesting to see how this plays out. Can only see this as a hugely positive diversification .

Gillie, LC is probably working out the best way to hive off Moz into an IPO, to guarantee yet another directorship and salary to boot, just so all those poor, miserable, long suffering shareholders that have supported Kibo for many years, don't get a look in at any possible return on their investments. I mean it's not like he hasn't done that before.

To allow marketing prior to approval, you wouldn't do that unless you were pretty damned sure of getting approval. Very positive IMO as it must cut the timeline considerably

Do we as shareholders not have a right to know what services these are? clearly not. It wouldn't surprise me if these are services to MED, so we fund it then the carpet is pulled from under our feet and MED is hived off to no benefit to the shareholders of KIBO. No surprises why the services are not disclosed. The board of Kibo is a disgrace, in the private sector they would have been removed a long time ago.

Nope same old same old, I'm intrigued by the appointment of "Chris" though, it would be wishful thinking that the board has acknowledged that the current line up isn't up to finishing the job, we shall see, let's hope it's not just another scavenger

Clark, not sure i'm qualified to make such predictions and even if I was, this is AIM where anything is possible. All i'd say is that you have a great average of which i'm envious. Despite all the bad press that the CEO receives, I do believe that the company and his reputation can turn on the delivery of just one project, from zero to hero. Coal is not dead, certainly not in the developing world, take ORCP for example, they have a credible investor in HRH, and we have some loan sharks... that is the problem !!

Trust me, as one of Sir G's cronies as you put it, I can say with the utmost confidence, that with the exception of one and only one person, ok perhaps two, but only just and excluding institutional investors, I have more of a financial interest in the success of Kibo than anyone on here, and even in % terms more than the largest board member. I therefore have a right to be negative. I however have no malice toward new investors who have timed their entry very well, as I have done recently in a number of companies. Just try an have a little empathy towards those who were here from the beginning , as without us supporting the company over all these years, there would not be the opportunity afforded to new investors today.

Kiwi, loving your optimism. Unfortunately as has been alluded too, you cannot just combine all the shares into 1 pot and call and EGM. It has been discussed many times, trust me. It's all very well ousting the board, but you need to be pretty confident that you have the means and ability to replace it, otherwise you cut off your nose to spite your face, which is why the resolutions at the AGM were passed through. I know of nearly 9% holding with just 4 PI's, but i'm not personally interested in rocking the boat and I have neither the time nor the inclination. Anyway, let's hope Chris brings some fresh blood to the board, perhaps a transfusion is what is required rather than an amputation, we shall see.
