The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
The delay might simply be a legal secretary typing up the decision on an old fashioned typewriter (the arbiters work will be completed or we would have heard from them) .
What I hope is that Italy is desperate to avoid a precedent, is negotiating a 'compensation' agreement with our lawyers, hopefully even higher than the award, in order to avoid a legal decision being announced.

At the danger of making a mountain out of a molehill, I quoted the last six years from the nasa site (a really good resite)
Global mean temperature as compared to the 1951-1980 average:
2015 = 0.90 C
2016 1.01
2017 0.92
2018 0.85
2019 0.98
2020 1.02
Whilst I am not into regression analysis etc, any simple common sense inspection of this data says no rapid or exponential increase OVER THIS SHORT PERIOD. For example the average 2015-2017 was 0.943 C, whilst the average 2018 to 2020 was 0.950 C. Surely well within any error band.
I am NOT implying anything stupid like global warming is not happening, just very annoyed at how the media is abusing the issue.

I am simple stating facts
The last few years of global T has been flat (even if this yr is slightly higher)
You state CO2 levels are accelerating. The last fifteen years has seen a steady LINEAR increase of 2-3 ppm per year.
I am used to the media twisting everything and selectively presenting data, along with implying water vapour from power stations as CO2, rightly leaving me sceptical of what they say
I try my limited best to look at facts, and it greatly concerns me, but doe not scare me. The media can make a group of four protesters look like a large crowd.

I am very concerned by any science that cannot be even moderately challenged or criticised, and I think most of the exponential model based predictions are complete humbug, and also that scientists go with the flow and say what is needed for media consumption and getting funding
However, the earth has warmed and significantly (tho' not over the last six years, everyone omits this), this warming is significantly due to Man's emissions over and above cyclical factors
The effects of the warming are real and measurable, and from previous warming, will continue or even worsen over the next few years. The current impact we can cope with, though it will change things. To deny the above is to deny observations.
However, it is very legitimate to question the lunatic scaremongering predictions and modelling presented by the media as expectation or fact. The Green terrorists would have us shut down capitalism, impoverish us all., and send us back to their dream of the stone age, on the basis of future predictions.. There is no sign of exponential change occurring.
I believe that encouraging more technological advances, the conversion of coal to oil and gas, more nuclear, along with less extravagent consumption and misuse of resource in an orderly fashion, some of which is already occurring, will limit climate change to tolerable levels. I don't know, but at least I do not speak with an agenda as strong as a terrorist. Who really knows whether the World's feedback loops will limit T increase, or enhance it.

Actualy Bootlegger, I have been an academic scientist all my life, now retired, and one of my close colleagues was a senior climate scientist.
I am not disputing climate change etc, anything but,, I am concerned about the lack of balance in media reporting, and the terrorism of fear being pushed onto us.
I was simply pointing out the data over the last five years, because no-one else does. I am very much aware of other data and long term nature of the field.

Good site, but look in more detail at the last six years, albeit after a large rise beforehand. Not that six years in climate terms is very long, but it is noteworthy yet ignored by the media.
I hope it is a harbinger of things to come not as pessimistic as the vested interests tell us..
2015 0.9 C above 1950-80 average
2016 1.01 C
2017 0.92
2018 0.85
2019 0.98
2020 1.02
Looked at in isolation....high but fairly flat.

I have a problem. Everytime I loom on Google for global warming charts, theyy show that since 2015-6, the warming has been flatt(ish).
Whilst we are at record high global temp, and CO2 continues to rise in a linear fashion, and of course we are seeing climatic events due to this past warming, we do not seem to be warming over the last few years.
The media completely avoid this.
I am not knowledgeable to know if there is a plausible explanation (solar flares, El Ninio etc), and cannot remember any scientist saying five years ago it would be flat for the next five years.
I am not a sceptic, but hate it when any scientific area is beyond challenge, and awkward observations are avoided.
Any model saying what T will be in 50 years...not worth thje paper it is written on, too many unknown variables.

It is difficult, but we must ignore the past, and past share drop, and ask the difficult question of what is best for the share price from now and in the short, medium and long term.
If we forced renumeration to £100k, and the BoD lft/replaced by newbies, would that benefit the share price.
I am not saying I approve of past actions/renumeration. I do think that whilst inactive over many years, renumeration should have been lowered, by the renumeration committee (but this is AIM). My Qn is is it best to stick with things as they are for the time being, painful as it is, or jump into the unknown. The past is the past.

I really hope there is a lot going on behind the scenes over the next few months, and agree with Buzz that now is not the time (not in shareholders interest). Two years ago, or later in Autumn if the BoD are still asleep by all means.
However, I am all for shareholders actually being noticed, especially against the large shorters and dozy selfish BoD's.
Cubane
We are all used to this share dribbling down on minimal volume and no news.
Looking on the bright side, any hints of bad, or even poor news would have sent this share spiralling.
I know this is the quiet season, but this volume is derisory, no-one knows anything, so we must be patient and not transfer our funds to the patient.

Bootlegger, just out of interest, can you please let me know how much the planet has actually warmed since 2015/6. I am no climate sceptic, and I appreciate there are many ways of measuring global warming, and I appreciate the temp levels have been at very high levels over the last 5-6 yrs, but you stated global warming is a scientific fact. Up to 2015 yes....maybe to come....but over the last 5 yrs (I appreciate El Nino/solar activity etc)
Being very optimistic, the warming up to 2016 is causing the climate change/sea level change we currently experience, and that the sensible steps that have been and are being taken have already made a huge impact on warming and future changes, which would be very unfortunate for many protestors.

Dear All
There is no need to be abusive to those that do not follow the current views of most on here. I too do not think now is the time to remove the management, maybe either years ago or when HBR turn us down and OM is miserable, and the BoD simply pay themselves riches from the small OM award, Yes. But not now. However, please do give them a wasp sting.
None of us know what is going on in the background, and on the asumption something is happening, I do not wish to upset it.
I am only too painfully aware of what has failed to happen over the last decade, and do not wish to die in poverty.
Cubane.
Years ago, the market seemed to have some speculative content.
Would those more knowledgeable than me comment on whether today's market is very much 'wait for news' or even wait until we hear of news ahead of the poor PI'
