Sold at a loss having read the Shard Capital research note and watched this dropping despite the buys showing as sells. Definitely think GK should have been more upfront re production. Like many I bought into the promise of production this year and feel somewhat conned. Poor show that we get more info from Shard about this issue than from the company. Should have got the message earlier I suppose from the low key reference to ‘continuing’ negotiations and updates ‘in due course’ in the recent RNS. May buy back ‘in due course’ as well! See how it goes.

Current live price to buy is 11p. Heading in the right direction guys. Beaufort Securities have today confirmed their buy investment rating and set a target price of 24p.

Hi Dactions - I think you will do well by doubling your stake at those prices. Not sure what you mean about nobody can have been averaging down. Anyone, myself included, who has bought at a lower price than their initial stake has, by definition, averaged down. On news re how the finances are going, we may well get an update in mid December, ahead of the year end. We did last year. As to a placing, one can’t rule it out, but I doubt it. Fox has been securing credit facilities at decent rates and has also had a few large payments in. I reckon CG will bend over backwards to avoid a placing just as the business is beginning to turn around and revenues are growing, if at all possible. ATB.

Dhlindy- there was nothing rampy about your posts. It was great to get feedback from someone who had taken the time and trouble to visit the factory and I for one very much appreciated it as I am sure did others.

However, I quote from an email received from Genedrive Plc today: "The ex-works cost (before shipping and distribution margin) of the Cepheid GeneXpert platform required to run their HCV assay is a minimum cost of $17,000 USD). It also requires regular maintenance and servicing which costs an additional $2000 per year (after 1 year warranty period). The system requires a continuous power supply and has a large footprint making it unsuitable for use outside a large laboratory, and it is certainly not a portable system. The Genedrive platform allows for laboratories to implement HCV molecular testing without a large capital outlay for an instrument. Genedrive can be purchased for approximately $4,000 or the cost can be negated completely by paying a reagent rental cost where the instrument cost is spread across the tests used over a period of several years. This makes implementing on site HCV testing low cost or even cost neutral in some cases.' Personally I remain very comfortable about Genedrive's competitive edge and my investment with them.

Yes, we are effectively being paid to develop a centrifuge free plasma separation device which will have a wide range of applications whilst at the same time supporting sales of the HCV kit. I am no expert but I was hugely encouraged by email confirmation from the company that Genedrive is the only portable point of care molecular test (thus complying with WHO guidelines) available for HCV. There are other portable rapid point of care tests available for HCV but these are not molecular and, therefore, under WHO guidelines, a positive test from one of these kits will require confirmation via a molecular test before a treatment decision is made. If you were running a small scale lab, which test would you choose? I would have thought that it would make sense to go for Genedrive on the basis that one test is all that is required to proceed to a treatment decision. Just my layman’s opinion but it seems to make sense and is why I am confident that, barring problems like those experienced in India with the TB test, the kit should sell well.

I have always liked this company and I am in little doubt that it will do well. I also believe there is potential to make money here as a PI. I am overall reasonably up on ARL having been in and out over time. I don’t generally comment on shares that I have sold in fairness to those holding and certainly don’t believe in talking shares down. However, I sold after the last announcement as I am concerned that the sp may drift for a while. I just feel that in AIM it’s easy to lose a lot of money by holding on to a share just because the fundamentals are good. AIM is full of short term traders and is driven my sentiment as much as anything else. I now find myself ‘trading’ more and more because AIM is so fickle that you tend to lose by sitting on your hands and waiting for a good company to pay off in the sp. ARL is difficult to value for the average punter and the newsflow is sometimes difficult to predict. News could, for example, drop next week and my sell decision revealed as an error. Who knows? I don’t think the bond rates were particularly high for a corporate bond in an AIM listed company and the fact that they were able to raise money that way is in my opinion a plus and infinitely better than a dilatory placing. I will be keeping a close eye on ARL and most likely, as Arnie would say, ‘I’ll be back’ when I think the time is right.

Been here a long time Truro and have always been optimistic, if a little frustrated at times. The business model has always been a good one and, in business, it is not uncommon to suffer delays and setbacks. Some of those who have been critical have not even been invested and just enjoy carping from the sidelines. We are not there yet, and personally I am still nursing a significant paper loss despite averaging down. However, I am now more confident than ever that I will earn a decent profit here. As you say, all that was needed was time, and that’s all that is still needed, but we won’t have to wait too long now. GL.

Agreed! I am particularly pleased to see the order from the States and note that they intend to buy more before the year end. Needless to say, breaking into the States as a market is a pretty big deal and we can expect to see a lot more orders from across the pond in time. Looking better and better and feeling pretty excited about my investment here.

.....at 18.5p. I think we might get a boost post budget tomorrow. Also, although I am no chartist, at this price we are close to the bottom of the Bollinger Bands and not far from the 100 and 200 day moving averages. Already below the 50 day average. So, plenty of scope for a bounce, especially if we get news, eg on the rest of Harvey.
