In the past we have been dogged by a persistent round number seller, whereas lately the balance of such trades has shifted more to our favour. For example, whilst I cannot be sure, I think that 100k trade is a buy despite showing as a sell. Live buy price is .228 and sell is .2273. The coal price issue really clobbered the share but maybe, just maybe, we are at a turning point. The recent Director buy, albeit a small one, was encouraging but the jury is out. If we can gain some momentum upwards, even slowly, there is the potential for significant recovery imo but it’s too early to judge if the slight improvement we have had recently will be sustained.

Sparked a couple of small buys, but we need this to pop up on more PIs radars!

I like the way this is performing and the potential for a major boost if it’s admitted to the MSCI emerging markets index which, according to the analysis page of MoneyWeek 5/1/18 is only a matter of time. If/when it happens, they say the passive investment funds and big investment institutions will have to start investing. I also like the fact that we are at a discount to NAV. So I am in and may well add more.

I have bailed out while ahead on this for now until this round number seller looks like he is finished. Pity because it was going well. I am risking missing out on news but right now I am concerned about the seller more. GLA.

We are due an RNS on the production deal soon, after all.

A belated Happy New Year to you too Troy. Agreed. We may well get a positive trading update by the end of this month, as per last year. If all looks good, you never know, maybe the Pru will decide in increase their stake further although they already have a decent chunk. The lack of liquidity here will turn to our advantage on solid news.

Yes, a good article which might bring a few more PIs on board. The nice thing about this share is that it is all about steady growth now. It’s not one of those shares that spikes and crashes every other day on expectation/hope of some transformational event such as a successful drill or a new gold discovery. All we need is exactly what we have been getting - a steady trickle of buys, gradually notching up the sp. Long may it continue!

Looking stronger now - fingers crossed!

A very solid couple of RNSs there in my opinion. £3m to be raised at only a very slight discount, production to be ramped up, debts cleared, sales increasing, new distribution agreement for GCC countries with a 500k up front payment and large subscription for shares, and Directors accepting shares in repayment of loans and in lieu of fees. 2018 looks set to be a good one.

I see the Company has RNSd the research now. I get where you are coming from Troy but (1) I think the forecasts are indeed conservative (e.g. they assume declining DoD income whereas there must be a possibility that the trials in fact lead to some decent sales); and (2) I don’t think short term sales/profit will necessarily be the main driver of short term growth in the market cap. What is striking to me is the scale of the markets and the potential Genedrive has to capture a decent chunk of those markets, even if it does take some time. Once the potential is realised I think people will start buying in. I view the stake building by the Pru as a very positive sign. The chance of an early buy out by a major once we get sales traction with the HCV test also seems pretty good. Merry Christmas and, as you say, here’s hoping for a positive January update.

Woody - I was in your situation until a couple of months or so ago when I finally sold out with a sizeable loss (bar a quick trade for a small profit). I am glad I did, although taking the loss hurt. What kept me invested for far too long was a) the ridiculously low p/e and forecasts of it going even lower; and b) the conviction (so far misplaced) that the big seller who has been selling for months on end would eventually stop allowing the sp to rise. What I didn’t anticipate was the bump in coal prices which seems to have thrown a further spanner in the works. I note that my broker’s website is now showing a forecast p/e for yr end 31/3/18 of 22.9! That’s some reversal of previous forecasts of that metric. Having said all that, although the biggish round number sells are still appearing, more biggish round number buys are also popping up, so hopefully the balance will eventually tip in favour of sp growth. However, the coal price issue seems key and I will be reading the results and any forward looking statements carefully. It seems to me that this has fallen so far that, given a bit of a switch in buyers v sellers and the outlook for coal prices looking good, the sp trend could reverse and begin a long climb back up. The question is when? Will be looking out for clues but currently more comfortable out than in. Clear as mud I know, but good luck. If it looks like turning I may well be back in.

As a shareholder himself the director’s interests are aligned with ours. By providing a loan to the company at a reasonable rate of interest he facilitates the Company’s development and growth in the sp. it’s a win win for him and us. We have already benefitted in a rise in the sp on the back of the announcement. If last year is anything to go by we will get an operational update any day now and, given that is bound to show a healthy growth in revenues, I should think we will get a further boost from that too. What’s not to like?

Absolutely it’s good news. Look what it’s for: buying additional equipment to ‘accommodate increasing demand for the Company’s Marble products’. Says it all really. Game on!

It’s on their website Panda so you can read it and draw your own conclusions. Mine is that they are saying that near term production is taking a back seat to further exploration. What is undeniable is that we are not going to see the promised production by the end of 2016. Anyway, I am not trying to deramp so I will leave it there and wish you and other holders luck.
