My take / opinion: RUA will have continued its in-house assessment of their proprietary heart valve as well as any other accelerated wear / fatigue assessment of their IP protected polymers. They are sharing this data with potential customers / partners / takeover parties. Only time will tell.

MM’s may have a big buy order, but I’m not convinced about deliberate manipulation. Buys pushed the sp up, sells brought it down. Unless MMs are paying people to sell? I don’t think it’s worth the risk to their operational licenses and FCA / LSE investigation for the tiny amounts being traded here.

It looks like the 10% brigade have set 0.29 as their sell target. I thought I could smell something.

Spot on. Though just one part of a big picture, I agree and think this is potentially very important. If this does get further developed it’s huge news for Heart Valve Replacement, the potential for further development of the material, and putting RUA front and center, in focus, of the world’s biomaterial manufacturing press… and hence the financial press.

Morning all (not Zulu time zone at present). An RNS is definitely due. I’m wondering if the promised update on patents, given in May, will now be included in an overarching trading update?

Otherwise, Cap XX has been doing everything it’s previously promised to do. The SP, and AIM in general, is very frustrating.

I bought 60k worth, Im not saying to buy cause its my own risk. yes im down, but it hopefully go up again as its sitting around 0.30 and i feel it will move up to 0.40+ . but dont trust people that say crazy things like people talking about bit coin and shares. do your own research

Hope this makes sense:

We know plenty of research has been done by Universities into this area. But Universities are great at pure and applied science, not always good at commercialisation.

RUA have taken a ‘commercialisation first’ approach, in my opinion. They will have factored in production concerns and requirements at each step of their R&D process. This means RUA holds significant IP beyond that which has been patented. All of the data around failure as well as success. And this applies to all of their products, not just the heart valve research.

I’m wondering what value this adds to the company, and if a major would decide on a whole company takeover to have it?

The answer:

“ It really depends where they are in the process. For a Class 3 medical device the pathway is long and expensive - similar to a drug. The University of Akron, whom I assist in developing IP has its own new valve material that is being tested between Cambridge and Sydney. The project has been going for several years already. I am not intimately involved with the valves but I am planning on using the same polymer for other medical uses.”

My two take home points. It’s not a quick process to make a new valve from a new material. We just have to accept that. But it doesn’t stop a deal being made for the material’s supply.

More importantly, I’m wondering what unique properties the new material has, and who will be interested in it for products that are not heart valve related? HV testing is incredibly vigorous, we all know this. Those findings can be extrapolated to a range of other products.

As has been stated, huge potential for the company.
