An all Africa standard for Smart Meters has just been agreed and adopted. That’s a 30,000,000 market. Geo-Economics and Geo-politics hugely at play here. It’s interesting that the RNS makes it clear that this is a new South African’ Company. Home grown tends to be preferred.

It’s made me plan to buy in bigger here when funds allow. One of those mind focusing events.

I’ve seen people who’ve had TAVI procedures and people who’ve had the classic ‘open heart’ valve replacement procedure. I know which one I’d pick! Preferably the dull groin ache vs a reciprocating saw up my sternum.

Looking at the posts, papers, and review articles, I think Aur Tex has an advantage on its ability to withstand the tight folding / packaging a TAVI implant requires. If so, this is game changing.

I’m guessing the potential major partner has done a lot more with Aur Tex than simply make a few heart valves and run them through an accelerated wear process.

I’m wondering where else this product could potentially be used in medicine / surgery? Though wishful thinking, I seriously doubt Aur Tex will only be used in heart valves.

My daughter has just had an echocardiogram, ultrasound visualization of the beating heart. All appears normal (TFFT). But it’s eye opening watching the function of the heart valves. Wafer thin, ultra strong, incredible flexibility, and lifetime endurance. An incredible achievement if Aur Tex is able (as it appears so far) can replicate this.

It sort of reminds me just how important this is. Hope this isn’t over sharing or wasting bb time.

Coldfeet. EXACTLY! Just beat me to it. I think one of the helpful posts here today suggests there are 7 companies who are approved by Eskor to supply smart meters. How much each will get out of the overall contract is, I’m assuming, unclear at present.

It’s interesting that a new generation of smart meter is being developed for Eskor. Let’s be honest, they are already well established devices. If the new generation offer reasonable advantages, this could turn into a significant global contract for CPX.

A good spot noticing the change in intent in the RNS. The timeline seems right for the interested party to be making a long term decision. There will always be a ‘what if a better polymer becomes available?’, and there’s a lot of research being done. We don’t know how many other polymers the interested party is studying.

But what we do know is RUA is a company focused on making a profit. I’m not sure University lab based research always has the importance of commercialisation of the product front and center.

So…

If a major manufacturer is going to take Aur Tex from the lab to the chest, will it be happy and secure with its supplier being a relatively small business? Will it really be happy that its supplier could (not FUD / derampng) but could go out of business? If a major such as Edwards is going all in on Aur Tex, they don’t want any uncertainty. Would it make better business sense for them to buy out RUA in one transaction?

Being serious, the vast majority of us shared the optimism Roger had back in June. I don’t think anything has materially changed within CPX since then, and it doesn’t ‘deserve’ this sp. It’s AIM, and it is what it is.

It’s all about confidence in the Directors atm. The resulting calamity from failed legal missions destroyed that, not confidence in the products. The best and quickest spring to this was seeing Dr C and pals appointed alongside Lars.

For me the next issue is what will they do with Lars. Why was he given such a huge number of options - 8x that of any of the other key individuals. I’m probably way off as usual but I suspect the plan is to sideline him fairly quickly. The bait is there for him to step aside and let them rescue the company and get it back to mcap of £49m and way higher and then he collects his reward.

Or they’ve said here’s your reward if you sit there quietly and let us steer the company the way we see fit and which will deliver the best results.

Directors like GC who have such skin in the game are rare these days in AIM companies. He’s not here to make 100% profit but to build a huge business opportunity that will deliver more like 1000% if not considerably more.

I don’t want to see another placing already but…if it allows me to build an even bigger holding at low levels and I’m confident it’s going to be back to 1p before long then so be it. Game on.

A good point. I think it’s highlighting the difference in the way Dr C and ‘the market’ value the company. Dr C is very much focused on the abilities today and future potential. The market just wants a quick buck. But in saying that, global geopolitics are so volatile at present, I’m not too surprised SPs are falling. It’s a 5h1t show out there at present.

If the warhead is changed a brand new drug is created and the will require the entire pre-clinical and clinical phases trials to prove safety and efficacy. Essential this is done very carefully and cautiously if the warhead has already been proven to be too toxic to use as a simple systemic treatment.

In many ways the choice of Doxycycline for AVA6000 was inspired. So much is already known about plain and modified delivery Doxorubicin already, it makes it easier to analyze and compare how AVA6000 behaves.

This will help guide the development of the next generations of the AVAxxxx family.
