Yes Wolfy, I believe you are totally right. The suggested 3 months between submission and and grant of ML was down to the backlog of applications, not the time taken to process it. Now it has officially reached the application desk, it should be processed quite soon.

It's just like passport applications. Processing takes minutes, it's the backlog that causes delays.

If you visit the passport office in person, they can do it in 10 minutes.

This is good news. Please don't spoil it with unfounded conspiracy theories.
