Didn't see that sp fall on the offer coming; the MM's were capable of selling stock easily at 10.0p so why the drop? Will it make the slightest bit of difference? Maybe we will see the reason later?

The downside is that they now have yet another addition to the portfolio that will require development capital to progress. They cannot continue to add further assets without downsizing some of their existing (maybe those potentially less lucrative) portfolio surely? Where is the funding coming from to develop all of these "assets"?

Vascular you say "could a third party be taking shares off larger holders at a set price rather than buying on the open market" Well even if that were true those transactions still ought to be reported (albeit typically late) as off market transactions. So, in short, I think that possibility is slim to none.
