I would agree that any figure would be totally arbitrary but the logic was that at the time of the placing the MC was £40m so the very least it should bounce back to should be £40m and, in my view another £10m for the cap raised. Yes that will be spent but then EWT is anticipated in repaying that expenditure in spades.

I would largely agree wookie and believe the fall overdone but only overdone if you believe that the flow of news that you allude to comes along pretty soon. We have seen a 30% fall in a matter of a week but we have all witnessed what happens to AEX sp when there is a news vacuum. It could fall yet further if we do not receive any further updates over the course of the next few weeks.

FWIW I would not disagree with anyone that said that by buying in at today's price you will eventually see a very good return on your investment but, as I have said a few days ago, I will not be buying more until and unless the sp dips below my average price. I hope that doesn't happen for obvious reasons but with an extended period without news I could certainly foresee the (Slim) possibility of it happening.

Quite right Grilse - once adjusted for the recent placing we are at the same equivalent share price as pre placing - however we are now much closer to EWT kick off with everything building for the spud, so no longer any time to sit on the sidelines awaiting an opportunistic entry (or re-entry) price. Now, you have to be in it to win it... so there will be some hot money coming in for the EWT that we have not seen previously so I think that "slight increase" that you speak of might be a little more than "slight". After that it is a coin toss!? Though if you take everything that LB has stated recently at face value the outcome of that "coin toss" looks likely to be favourable. If so there is still a lot of potential upside - I suppose the question is up to what level will the hot money be prepared to go for that upside? When does the potential reward no longer justify any further risk? I think people will all have a very different view on that risk vs reward equation.

It could rp and I hope you are right but , then again, we might have already seen today's high water mark; it wouldn't surprise me after a 10% rise within 30 minutes of the open. MM's will need some shares to allow it go higher.

I have just tried a dummy sell and was offered 0.8995p for 4,000,000 shares. Evidently the MM's are not worried about taking largish parcels.

2.5p comfortably and with a good report after the drilling the additional 100- 150 metres maybe 3.5+p. My considered view.

Ssccss, yes indeed your summary below is exactly what I was thinking myself - that the delays in GOI approval must inevitably compromise any definitive drilling plans. You would expect both Selan and GOI to want this approval done and dusted so that definitive plans can, at long last, be made.

Okay thanks Ssccss so yes, completion of a three drill programme within 18 months of GOI approval but no indication of a start date. As I anticipated.

I recognise how ridiculous a question this is bearing in mind that everything is totally contingent on the GOI farm-out approval but has anyone got any reasonable expectation of when Selan anticipate getting a drill in the ground? As it is now nearly five months since the Farm-Out agreement has any original "target date" been compromised or has it just pushed the target date out commensurately?

I hope you are right bamb but it seems strange to me that news of spudding or initiation of the EWT is so pivotal; surely it is now no longer in any doubt, so why wait?

Trading volumes are pitiful based on past experience.
