It's good news for UK plc though not sure it is anything positive for scancell in as much as I doubt Moderna are looking at Scancell they are focusing on their own mRNA pipeline.... The moderna story though is one to gasp at!... A near $60 billion mcap ... one commercial product its Covid vax... as ever scancells potential massive but still all potential till that data and to my mind those deal/s come in then who knows... a $60 billion mcap could look conservative lol ...

I disagree and have welcomed having Lindy do the presentations of course we do not know why Cliff left so it is wrong to label the move unprofessional as it may have been necessary at least at the time I'm sure the whole BOD redmile/Vulpes/Calculus had their own inputs in the decision for Lindy to take on CEO...really let's see how it goes with RG in this new needed role and then who replaces him...

It is a reasonable position to question has Lindy may be taken on too much by becoming CEO as well as being CSO (I seem to remember that issue was raised here at the announcement) and possibly this bringing RG back in for a bigger role for now is an indication of that has indeed become the case however I don't doubt she is capable it is probably more a time thing of she can only do so much in a day.... anyone wanting to put serious money into scancell via investment or deal/s want to directly access Lindy she led the creation of the pipeline etc and no doubt final decisions are hers ... Also she is very good at communicating the science so I'm more than happy she now does the investor presentations, again that there is a need now for RG's assistance ought to be a good sign and at some point (perhaps after a deal) we can expect another board appointment will be made to fully take on this role.

It's a crackin appointment :) seriously though I've already said for such an 'interim' role there is no one better and I did say there must be a good reason for that position to be filled right now (hopefully commercial action at last!) It would be great if RG was indeed involved in getting a great deal over the line he and we! Deserve it....

Not much to add we have been over the likely reasons for sp fall ( no wiggle ,covid plays losing pi appeal, modi 1 trial timeline whoosh..... slow recruiting for SCIBs) ... Potential still very much intact which is why I'm unhappy frustrated etc with sp I'm not panicking and will indeed add if it does go below my average .... but come scancell let's be having the first of those 18 months of value-adding inflexion points!...

I suppose it was an easy decision RG runs the Twitter account and is almost certainly in regular contact with Lindy he knows the company and its science to a level no incomer could though I think it was Ivy who said he'd of prefered an outsider taking the role on with good added reasons ( before we learnt this is just an interim appointment).... that is to me the interesting part as sure like Ivy if they hired maybe even someone with a proper reputation for the role that would be exciting I think Sean Marret of BioNtech lol...anyways the point is there must be a vital need right now for someone to take that role on and RG ticks all the right boxes so it sounds like proper commercial talks are probably occurring which I'd expect and probably on all the pipeline too... how far how close we are to signing anything off is as ever blue sky... and a problem with RG is he is not the guy to ask as he was strongly hinting at commercial action is next news years and years ago lol but he is likeable guy and as I say no one else will be able to take on this 'interim' role with the amount of scancell insight plus personal relationship with LD especially if those skills are needed right this moment... a new guy would need time to bed in..... we do have others on the BOD now with impressive commercial experience too and I'm sure RG is famillar with them all I seem to remember Evans said RG first made contact with Vulpes back in the day etc... hopefully this time his bootleather does not get worn out before something commercial happens it is what is needed to make this less of an all sentiment share as the end of pandemic covid plays are no longer fashionable happenings of this week show we need to be taken more seriously as bona fide UK Biotech unicorn... for that you need pharma partnerships!

Yeah, I think the whole Covid play traders has played its part here too... just frustrating modi1 has not started when it was expected to as once again a timeline goes whoosh and just at the wrong time... of course that RNS can still drop any day as can so many others ..... Covidity action could still have plenty of exciting potentials if the data comes in great... the Covid trades may be drying up but the Covid market will not vaccines will be with us for years and Pfizer are already eyeing huge profits for their covid vaxs for the future... so all to play for for other Pharmas who are missing out.... and if not them then CEPI still a potential route but so long as data comes in positive all good especially considering Avidimabs involvement and the extension to ImmunoBodies patent life etc.... never thought I'd be looking at potentially having to average down again though!... pfft

WTP we have to hope so!... Of course the right kind of newsflow here and we could see this as a blip and a last chance to buy at these amazing prices lol... but we may also be in for some more hard times... scancell really need to nail that decent partnership deal/s to take us away from all this once and for all

Lack of news as in where is modi1 trial!!! .... the slow recruiting in SCIB1 combo/Covidity.... however, I think the missing Diggle Wiggle which has had the past effect of holding up the sp around 20p has removed that wall then the natural drift down towards many holders averages has probably triggered a take some profit before it goes below averages rush ....

TF on a quick scan it looks to be very pre-clinical that.... I read a recent FT article about the coming of more universal vaxs the other day... seems CEPI will be announcing more funding of more such vaxxs in the coming weeks... meanwhile here we wait and find where the resistant bottom is :)

TF - joking but deadly serious! ...Covid and its ability to kill those most vulnerable is not at an end and so treatments ie vaccines will be with us for a longwhile yet... And though Covidity may never become commercial (though it may) We at least have a data providing trial to boost the ImmunoBody platform and AvidiMab into the mix too... so it is hugely valuable to little Scancell to be at least getting such data... As for sp now that is avin a laff!

Seems to be true however I have no idea what that role entails.... I do know he is a far better communicator that CH so maybe he will be doing some presentations? ... I just hope it means there is indeed at last some commercial action afoot at last

Never mind fold em hold em I'd rather more added to em! :) ...It wasn't my plan for 2022 to buy more scancell shares as I think I have enough for the coming fun times(we hope!) but looks like the market is pushing me in that direction so I'll see where we are sp wise by the end of the week and then decide.

The market didn't think so as there was never any reward for the SCIB1 trial....I like to think lessons were learnt and now it feels like something is brewing with the next-gen ImmunoBody as in there may finally be deal/s done of course I could be wrong but the thinking that we are in some way less funded now as we have so much more and advanced techs is silly and also having the involvement and backing of Redmile/Vulpes is transformational for scancell from what it was a Notts based Uni spinout with great science papers .... now we have a more proper Oxford-based biotech with all the potential to become a bio unicorn and more... I get the frustration with the always extended timelines but I would be super surprised if in the next 18 months there indeed are no, none at all value-adding inflexion points.... if anyone thinks that then best to get out now as this will sink if however things move as planned and without any more external hold-ups then we could be in for a good to great 18 months and a share price in 18 months that we can all smile at :)

You mean the years of no trials and no big money fortunately those years are passed and in came Glycans and Avidimab too... I think you have to judge the story from pre-Redmile/Vulpes and the Redmile/Vulpes years which is where we are now... clearly progress is being made and real progress even having scancell tech in those 16 patients is something!

Clearly, scancell are concealing the truth that the corner to corner recruiting pickup truck went down a ditch :)
Though the slow recruiting is frustrating I get why and also am good with the pace should up now and their are no safety concerns... The reaction to RNS was to be expected and sp has not sunk too much and seems to be holding its range as it were..... many expected value-added inflexion points in the next 18 months.... plenty of game-changer potential here we just have to wait it out on our corners :)
