I'm certain scancell have done PEGs Boston in the past but of course, this will be the first where Lindy is fully at the helm and the presentation being around ADCs is interesting and showing off yet another string to the bow or maybe more a harp of what scancells ever-increasing pipeline is capable of and we also know a part that is possibly most deal ready

mRNA vaxs can't multi-target unlike ImmunoBody as Lindy says it is a really great DNA platform... let's sit back and watch this nightmare but almost dream scenario unfold my inkling is a significant pharma will move in quick on compelling data on the whole platform (possibly Jan-Feb).....

I'd think it would be a large Biotech or pharma rather than CEPI... makes sense with the work going on with the next gen SCIBs also interesting that SCIB2 now being combined with SCIB1 ... I'd reckon it all hinges on Covidity but yeah does sound like whoever is interested in that is interested in the whole platform which makes sense!

Pfizer and Astra are saying sure we can have a vax that can whack this new variant in 100 days..... yeah well then that needs mass manufacturing and shipping out then administrating to people who might have only just had their booster....the logistics and costs are massive and then comes along a new escape the new vax variant.... So let us see how this latest variant performs but it surely shows the need for better long term broader protection vaccines... not to rely just on the first gens being tweaked every time a new variant of concern arises

Covid in general affects most people with mild to no symptoms it is the few per cent for who that that is not the case as we know those are the ones that then go on to end up in the hospital and put a huge burden on the health care system... If this new variant can infect a significantly higher number of double even triple vaxed and already previously infected then it is likely it will impact the health system in a significant manner... an almost back to square one scenario with vaccine makers rushing to catch up.... the whack a mole approach where an already broadly protective and effective vaccine is if you like already future proof to the next variant...

I'd expect patients are 'encouraged' to partake as far as I know no other trials there have had recruiting problems though might be worth a look as you say violin 40 does not seem too much of a hurdle... but till we know we don't I suppose going off the twitter feed there is a sense of all going well

Sure and I think they are far more media savvy and understand the power that has in getting your products attention and backing... interesting time considering data may well be not too far away

We just do not know yet ... And this won't be the last variant so better prepare for the worst possible variant... meaning better-pushing variant resistant vaccines through trials, something our Gov has obviously quickly decided on first gen success was no longer a priority.... pharma will lead this though as they see that $120 plus billion prize... Covidity if it is a proven answer will end up with a pharma partner and maybe will not be UK market prioritised which is a shame for UK as it is here right under the Govs nose!.....

Unfortunately, I think our Gov decided on the success of vaccination that that s it we can leave it to Astra and Pfizer now to sort out effective vaccines.... Was sad to hear from bobs AGM feedback that the Notts team are not expecting any more Gov funds... of course that could not all change!... Also I'm not sure about the CEPI angle it sounds from the AGM feedback that there has been interaction as we would expect but the whole they want to see data is the kind of rubbish we have heard from Scancell before on SCIB1 no CEPI do back vaccines with less data than Covidity.... so I tend to think it is Scancell themselves that want the data though of course CEPI may well have said yeah interested but not enough to back pre-clinical ... And of course with the data if it is indeed 'unrivalled' and shows new variant resistance things can happen fast it does seem to me there are Pharma on the scene and indeed they will only act on data (the best outcome for us).... An interesting time for Covidity and how Scancell play this but yup it is all going to be hanging on the coming data and what happens now with the looming variant lock downs....

Sounds like pharma must already be looking closely in and if so makes sense that scancell do not go the CEPI route BTW think they maybe not tell the whole story there because it is obvious CEPI will do preclinical deals as they already have and they are not afraid of DNA vaccines either... so it may be more Scancell keep that option open but they want data themselves first .... the first-gen covid vaccine market going to be worth over $120 billion.... yet those vaxs may soon be next to redundant... makes sense for pharma especially those looking on at pfizers profits with envy eyes to want to have a stake in a more lasting and effective vaccine....
