250, are we to take it you will not be attending? By the way, what are a "brace of Columbos'"? Are you cryptically referring to the rare Peugeot 403 Cabriolet that TV detective Columbo used to drive? If not you have, as usual, lost me...probably looking through the wrong 'window'!

Re the rig set-up timing...some of us remember talking to Kelly at TE-7 & hearing that word 'Phenomenal' when we (definitely me & Appiamma) asked him about gas shows...it seems to me the timing has been fine-tuned so that such a comment from a rig engineer would hardly be possible this time around...or am I over thinking it? In any case, I am sure the crew will be intensely interrogated & if need be 'racked', Inquisition-style!!

250, when we were about to drill TE6 I reckoned it to be a 'Wildcat. Sure we had data from TE5 but not much more on the license. No flow rates on any wells except TE5 & very little concrete data elsewhere. Tendrara was a 'frontier province.I remember having a conversation with JP once and even he wasn't sure...eventually stating he thought it wasn't a 'Wildcat. But since then we have drilled 3 wells, covered the area with seismic & an Ariel survey and have evaluated pressure readings on historic well sites. Tendrara is no longer wildcat territory but having said that there is so much more to be learned & that can now only be achieved through further drilling.

250, you make it sound like I bought all my shares pre-JP taking over - not true. Admitedly, and obviously without your grasp of the industry I originally invested because of the exciting Indonesian portfolio...but once James came onto the scene I very soon realised we had a very capable, dynamic and financially astute CEO! I added to my holding whilst also paying off my mortgage...maybe not so naive as you so often try to make out - but then again, we are not all so seemingly brilliant at stock picking and trading as you are.......................

Ponks, what about the latest Ariel Atom 4 I was telling you about...I want one so bad since I saw them at Goodwood & Beaulieu it makes me sweat thinking about the fun I could have...living where you do with all those country lanes you could have a real hoot hoot...no room for any flippin labs though!

dloughlin, bongabob (love the 'Unwinese')...thanks for your kind comments. Once upon a time a few years ago in the land of Sound Oil this used to be a very friendly board & some of us used to talk about all sorts of things off-topic. Sure, we used to talk plenty about Sound but we had a camaraderie & we could have a laugh. But then Sound Oil grew up & morphed into Sound Energy & along with that metamorphosis came new investors, some of whom were less friendly and intolerant, but most of whom have added greatly to this board. It is a pretty sad day when one cannot share something of one's life & in turn show interest in what others here are doing, whilst waiting for Company news...but that's life for you..'twas ever thus' I guess!

Rushfan, I've known UP for a few years now & I very much trust him to do right by investors. I've been a fan since he took the helm in October 2012 & for me he has hardly put a foot wrong: he's a master strategist and tactician. Just look at all the moves he has made putting all the elements together to bring us to where we are today...on the edge of glory...hopefully!

BTW, I had forgotten K3vester lives out in Teguise...I'm sure I haven't met him...although there was this chap cleaning the pool the other day...only kidding KV if you're tuning in! Enjoy your holiday Rushfan - 6 weeks sure is an indulgence but as you say..."Live life a d don't be a slave to anything or anyone"!

PS, Soundboy is I think coming out to Morocco...I spent some time with him on the last trip...a really decent fella & a nice chap.

Levelup, yes it would be good to follow the progress of the field development but I am not really interested in future contingency payments. I've been here long enough & would not want to wait for the likes of Repsol or Shell, whoever, to slowly and cautiously grind out half a dozen (or whatever number) outpost wells...who is to say it wouldn't take another two or three years. Meanwhile we are presented with a fairly low offer contingent on the whim of the IOC conglomorate's timetable and future payments. Our three well program could finish by Spring 19 & a company sale could be wrapped up any time soon after...job done and straight over to Echo & Coro to do our washing...'wash, rinse & repeat!

After Saturday market in Arracife it's down to the pool to relax & contemplate!

She'd, I did have to persuade wifey but in the end she relented , saw how important it was to me and allowed me to go. But what also helped was a very good French friend of ours (who I have persuaded to buy stock) expressed an interest in going so that swung it for me. Our friend also travelled to Argentina on that recent Echo trip...theres no stopping him now with the Sound 'Holy Trinity'! He's got shares in all three & thanks me every time we meet...I should be on commission, the amount of punters I have introduced. Just hope it all goes well or I may have to flee to Argentina...lol!

The TE9 trip is going ahead. They are busy at the moment configuring the best way to accomodate so many investors regarding the logistics of the site visit. I and many others have bought our flight tickets and have room reservations. Besides, Iam really looking forward to maybe one last trip to the Atlas High Platuea to see our field development. I consider my destiny is out there in the desert & I fully hope & intend to be there to savour the full atmosphere of a well/s visit...& another clamber up that greasy Saipan rig!

Fatty, it's been a long time! I guess you are one of us now eh? Did you figure out the bottom & pile in? Or are you back with more b.s.?

It actually just rained out here in very sunny Lanzarote...no matter, off to Ikea for breakfast. I know how to have a good time!
