Tableleg, who knows if there will be another visit but even if there isn't I'm definitely going back to Morocco. My French buddy Henri says anytime I want to go back he would come...that's a definite date for the near future. Maybe an LE event should be held in Morocco...there is nowhere more pleasurable or appropriate!

For offices read offies...few and far between but the tea and coffee when out is excellent. My friend Henri is staying another week and is touring (wish I had arranged to stay with him) & Saleem is also staying for another week or two...so I hope they both stay safe and have a great time. I also wish I had bought a Jalaba like my good friend Ray did. He's a super fit yoga enthusiast...as you will see on the film. The Jalaba suits him perfectly....but oh, what a negotiation and what fun try I g to save a few quid! Ray loves a deal and loves the whole process of the haggle. I've known him since before Sound when we were both in BPC...something I teased him about mercilessly...as seen on the forthcoming film.

Hey guys, got back into LGT at around 15:15. Flight good and back in Sussex by 17:00. Been conta ting various attendees to see if they got back safely. I am still reeling from the trip...I loved every second of it!

Smallsmile, no I didn't check out that bookies but now I can put a face to the handle. I do know one thing...there aren't enough offices but the one I know is very welcoming.

Regarding what happens if the wells are not a success: It is a pity I was advised not to film Richard Lidel because he specifically spoke about a 'Plan B'. Basically producing the TE5 horst concession. But that is not what we want to be thinking about now. I was right by Brian when he said he thought TE9 would be a success...he didn't seem to have any doubts...we will see by December if we have gas and by January if it flows commercially. Born chance monamies!

Cheers Dazz. There are 7 of us currently at Oujda Airport checked in and waiting to board. The weather is lovely and I for one will be sad to leave. I bought some lovely things and am now concentrating on the plastic bag not splitting. My friend Henri somehow wasn't allocated a seat; thought he wasn't going today but has now ended up in 1st Class...but he had to pay a full ticket price. Why he had to when it seemingly wasn't his fault remains a mystery to me....but it has given me a few laughs...as had the whole trip!

Tomorrow I will put all my photos and videos on a stick and send them to Saleem, who has kindly (with Josh) volunteered to put it out on our YouTube channel. Anyone interested in what some of us got up to (edited of course lol) together with the Presentation and the rig visit should look out for it.

Well, as the thunder and lightening decends on Oujda it is just about time to return home. We had a marvellous night out after the presentation and Q&A last night....I did not get back until well after 4am. James, Sarah, Richard, Jason, Brian, Caroline et all went out to let off steam and have fun...which we did: I even smoked a hookah! Today I spent in the Souk buying more lovely Moroccan goods...God knows how I am going to get them home. This afternoon was ultra relaxing in the Atlas Terminus before a few of us hard-core went out for a final meal before sadly leaving tomorrow...I wish I wasn't going for sure...I am having way too much fun! But I am packed, taxi booked by my very good French friend and travel partner, Henri. His French has been invaluable and he is such good company...everyone loves Henri. Anyway, if there is another visit I am first on the list to book....

Tespack, I never said anything of the kind...maybe you should keep off the booze, drugs or glue - or whatever it is that confuses you. If you were paying attention you would know that what was said regarding a LE price was a response from James to my question asked at a FSC relating to how our value could be derived in a company sale. For further clarity see the response below from 28th April 2017:

"Regarding the proved up volumes and how a purchaser might value the business…. I think the way to think about this is that we should get a high percentage (maybe 90%) of the P1 volumes and then a low percentages of the unproved volumes. The key variable which the seismic helps reduce is the risking of the unproved volumes. So right now, based on public information, we might get say 90% of our proved 0.5Tcf and a small percent, say 2% of our 31Tcf potential. Post seismic perhaps that 2% increases to say 10% or another number as we will be able to demonstrate with a prospect inventory how our 31Tcf is built up. More drilling and re-entries will increase in the proved volumes but actually most of the value uplift will come from the seismic".

How you come to your conclusions is beyond me but look to yourself before accusing me of misleading the board.

Jalaba...where did Malaga come from. This predictive text is awful if you don't thoroughly scrutinise each post. It reminds me of when I once typed Gerry Orbell (our previous CEO) and it predicted 'Merry Ordeal'....now that did make me laugh and the name stuck!

Testpack, we have read your comments out here and quite frankly it is an insult to the many hard working Sound staff and the rig crew to state it is unprofessional. I can assure you the drill bit started turning at 10:00 yesterday & I witnessed it at 12:00. The noise is unmistakable as is the drill string being fixed and lowered from the monkey platform by the Derrick Hand. There is absolutely nothing unprofesional about our company or this operation!

A few of us have been wandering around the marvellous Souk and my mate Ray haggled in various shops and eventually bought a lovely blue hand stitched Malaga...Irather irreverantly called it a Moroccan 'onesie. No sooner had he started negotiations when I bought an amazing mirror. It looks like the front of a Mosque with doors that open revealing a mirror. It looks gold and brown in colour with bone decorating the rim and cherry baubles. It is very ornate and above the doors amid palms it says Oujda. I had to have it as a momento of our time out here. I also accidentaly came back with the gloves I wore at TE9...replete with the salt dust I used to throw over my shoulder for luck rigside. I will treasure both..........

Rigless, not rifles...soz!

Bruno, yes we will get a yes there is gas or no there isn't before Christmas but the rifles flow test results won't happen until mid January...when I will be somewhere in the Caribbean...hopefully ready to celebrate.

Ian, she was extremely pretty but I never really talked with her...we just smiled at each other occasionally. The man I took to be her husband I am told was an OGIF person. They were together for the trip duration.

Flamemaker, I am being super cautious this time. I have a pad bag on my shoulder with passport, money, pad and phone...it never leaves my side. I am only drinking beer and not the spirits that Me, Appiamma and Saleem brought with us last time...although I will take a Ricard or two. Absolutely nowhere serves alcohol except the Hotels and my secret Offy...who are very friendly and eager to supply. But this just means we get to enjoy the lovely coffee and Moroccan tea (which I love) a bit more.

There was a very nasty train accident here the other day that killed 12 and injured a further 90. Bob, from Shares Magaizine had hoped to travel from Fez by train (he had said he was hiring a car originally).Anyway, because of that catastrophe the trains were delayed and would be much slower (I gather it may have been a speed issue that derailed it) & so Bob hired a taxi that would pick up other fares on route to Oujda. But after 1.5 hours he started seeing signposts for towns he should not have...turns it the taxi was heading for Tangiers!! So I am not the only accidental tourist! Bob is a great guy and I had a long talk with him Tuesday night.

I had arranged to walk with James to the Medina and last night he confirmed a time but this morning he tells me he is having a meeting with Richard Liddel and I know he is also meeting Malcy...so the walk with James is off. This afternoon he is busy and has his speech to rehearse, whilst Sarah is organising Brian as he too is doing a talk with slides. All this had been cancelled at one point as the hoped for investor numbers never materialised: 120 expressing interest became 30 actual attendees. But I am glad it is happening and I will try to film it and put it out on the SRIG UTube channel.

Right now I am resting prior to meeting Sarah at 12:00 and then at 13:00 a few of us will walk to the wonderful Medina, sans JP. The weather is cloudy/sunny and warm.
I missed calls from Saleem last night but whatsapped him just now...had a chat but lost connection. He is stuck in Casablanca and cannot make it here: I will keep trying to contact him.

It turns out that we had a representative of OGIF on my bus to TE9 and a pretty young lady representing government interest. They didn't say much to anyone but I noticed she was asking Roger, the seismic analyst, questions rigside.i hope she liked what he told her....

Tenth, all is I order...new BOP on its way.. The old one hadn't been installed and was just lying there. No need for one at drill commencement. We unfortunately did not enquire about the well design...I was in a group being led by Geologist Jason. The rest of us were with Kelly and he would have been the one to ask.

I am having an early night and have left James and co to finish their drinks. I am having a walk with James I to Oujda market...amazingly he gas never been so I thought I would drag him down there. He is meeting with Malcy 'tomorrow regarding Malcy'"s future colaberation with the C4 project. Malcy isn't going rigside. Sat next to him and James at dinner. The food was lovely but I didn't over - indulge tonight. Contrary to rumour there will now be a CEO address followed by a presentation tomorrow night. I am filming anything that moves and hopefully we can put it on the net soon.Antway I'm fagged after a huge day out at the rig. Everyone is very positive here, none more so than the chafmi g Mohamed Sagiri. I met an Italian couple who run a fund who are invested (couple of million invested I think) & they were so pleased to actually see the rig...tbey were made up! There were another couple (French I think) on some sort of scouting mission to buy shares. They semed impressed...its hard not to be. Lights out time I think.....ta ta!

Crude...preserving energy for tomorrow night!

Just got back from a grueliing but very enjoyable day out rigside. Spud happened at 10:00 & we arrived at about 12:00. Seismic interpreter Roger was on my bus and he was most helfull answering questions...his speciality being the Paleozoic. We arrived first of all at the camp that was used for seismic trucks and where most of the living accomodation is for he next three wells. The catering was superb and after being issued safety equipment we made
our way (20 minute journey) to TE9.. One of our sub-surface technical guys (west country accent but not sure of his name) led us around. We started at the wireline equipment, moved on to drill bits, followed by casing and drill pipes. After that we saw the cement used for the casing, various other chemicals and the water pit, followed by the mud hopper: we were allowed up on top of the mud pits walking on the metal flooring which allowed you to see the mud and were told how the mud circulates from the well bore and how the stones are separated in the shaker. We then saw the huge diesel tanks to power the generators, an old blowout preventer (a new one is on its way) and the blowout command centre where power can instantly be cut or worst case the drill pipe severed and closed up. We were not allowed on to the rig platform as the guys were very busy drilling but could see stands of pipe (3 By 10m) assembled and set on a stand up on the rig. We saw the Derick man high on the monkey platform (with a safety chain attached) fitting the drill string ready to lower. We were told about the various drill pipe used to either lend weight to the drill bit to help push it into the rock and how some pipe is riffled so the mud can flow around it and how drill strings can be nudged if they are snagged. It was a hot day at rigside and before we started our tour the one and only Kelly Sheets advised us about rigsafety...something which has moved on over the years and even since TE7. Only photos in designated areas were allowed...Jean Paul is rightfully very safety conscious. Sarah of course was her usual, highly efficient and very pleasant self organising everything. Drinks in a minute (after a much needed shwer) followed by meal and chat.

Crude...when we were showed the salt used in the drilling process I threw three hanfulls over my shoulder...TE9 has been blessed for good luck by yours truly!

Just finished chatting with the very engaging Mohamed Sagiri...im afraid I monopolized him for the whole evening. To say it was the most interesting conversation I have had with anybody for years is not understating it...apologies for all those previous conversations I have had with others but...I am not demeaning anythig or anyone when I say he commanded my full attention for over three hours. The feeling must have been mutual and was fully recipricated - the conversation flowed and I was so impressed with his history of OGIF and their historic interest in our East Moroccan license. There is no way I can recount the conversation I had with the charming and most affable Mohamed...except to say I was impressed with what he said and very impressed with him...one cannot help but like him and fully respect him. There is no doubt that he deserves his position as Director of Morocco Operations...a post previously filled by the well loved Luca Mededu...but he fully earns that possition on merit alone....not to mention his previous OGIF Possiton. If shareholders were not previously appraised of Mohamed Sigiri's (Apologies in advance if bad speeling) vital input as our Morocco liaison...take it from me....he has been instremental in our so far succesful in-counry progress.

An enourmously pleasurable end to a very good day indeed...one I will never forget! Ever since Indonesia I have made it my priority to get to know the CEO & staffers of Sound...but since those days I have become much more invested...not just in Sound but in Morocco. I could just sit at home, buy shares and whinge that they are down...or not up enough. But my involvement isn't skin deep and when we prove up this basin-wide discovery (Mohamed talked i depth of diferentiating between wbat we nave a TE5 and what the basin most probably holds - and its implications) I want to hold my hands up and say...I was there and I took part! Before the usual suspects say its all words...you should be where I and my friends are...on the frontline of potentially regional important hydrocarbon discovery...a basin full of gas in simple terms. I didn't want to miss this experience and now I know why I trusted my instincts...its because I know we are onto something huge...basin and regionally wide!! I knew I had to be here for TE9...its destiny!!

Last night my French friend and I stayed up late to greet Sarah, Caroline, Steve and Brian. But only 5 investors appeared.....Kempseman , Mebo and 3 others who don't post. We had a lovely drink and chat late into the night at the Atlas. This morning 6 of us...all except Kempsy, hired a taxi for the day and travelled to the Algerian border, which was facinating. We saw border outposts and patrols...I took video and pics but Henri (my French buddy) panicked and thought I should desist...did I heck, I'm British! We then travelled to he coast and had an excellent fish meal. We then made our way back to Oujda via the mountains...where we temporarily broke down...but we're soon good to go. We are now in a patisserie drinking high octaine coffee! It was a real pleasure to spend the taxi ride chatting to my very good friend Ray (Uncas). We will then head to the secret bottle shop and then spend an evening with Sound staffers...more investors land tonight! Early start tomorrow. Weather pretty miserable today but company superb, taxi amazing and what a laugh we all had...a day to remember for sure!
