I have to say, I can’t disagree with thier view BUT, I think it’s out of date. They’re remarks are true of the last few years but as you say malta based on the last pre-closing statement the corner is being turned. Prior to the poker software update they were averaging 1800-1900 cash players on the .com site, now it’s 2200 and the really key point is the value they are getting from each player is now greater than previously so with that in mind the numbers alone are not the whole story. Is this a failed re-launch? Not to mention the groups reliance on poker is only 20% of their revenue stream, what about the rest? This is not detailed by MS. My view on brokers is like many others, I don’t take too much notice as they always have other motives for there actions. Let’s see what comes from the Q4 and year end results as well as the Q1 guidance, we will then have more real world fact to work with.
I do find it funny that after every reiteration of a buy and price guidance of 140 to 200p nothing happens, yet one broker goes the other way and bang we get an adverse reaction, I don’t think investors are that easily lead and even today the buys outnumbered the sells despite the price dropping. It’s the old standard DYOR.
