Albus, I must admit I was under the impression the Springowl transaction was already a done deal re. The 2 RNS on the 24th Feb? As you say there was no mention of the price paid as it was off market, but not sure at this stage if it will have any impact going forward. Also Janus top sliced 266,706 shares today, small beer in comparison to their holding.

It’s funny, Credit Suisse after their Jan 8th reiteration of the U/P and 99p price target have gone VERY quiet and not felt the NEED to put the knife in again, I wonder why…. Quick close that short you lot.

Albus, I’m actually not too inclined to top slice any more, we have 2 weeks before the results and history shows that the price tends to rise in that period. Decision time will be the day before the results…which way will the price go after that? down on looking back or up on looking forward. As an investor the forward guidance is much more interesting than old news that I hope we are already expecting to be very average or poor. No nasty surprises please Bwin.party.

Hi Malta, I can't work out how the EGM vote was passed without the 75% majority, any views.

It was the trust shares that voted No, 87% of the rest voted yes. Overall 69.66 in favour.

Yeah, short term is a tricky one as you say. I did find more detail on the proposed scheme some way back and remember it was mostly EBITDA linked, but I think there were parts still share price dependent. The link is somewhere back in my posts.

Welcome long_haul, always great to see new posters on here. The possible share price decoupling doesn’t overly bother me as in the years since this was introduced the price has pretty much gone one way…down, so the demise of the scheme I would think should have little bearing going forward. On principle though I have to say it sucks, they really have not earned this sort of recognition. Sadly I suspect they will get this passed as the large blocks some of the institutional investors have would make up a large proportion of the 75% and I’m not sure they will refuse, us PI’s don’t really get a look in. It would be very interesting if it was refused, not sure of the initial reaction of the share price. However I'm as bullish as I've ever been on this company longer term now so whatever the outcome Monday 6 months down the line it won't be relevant I hope. GL
