Hi Albus, To be honest I can’t see any news between now and XDiv to have any positive effect, that said we seem to be bucking the market again this morning and going up for some reason, nice to see after yesterdays open and the shock of seeing 121. I still have one eye on the situation in Ukraine, if Putin has a rush of blood we could see the entire market drop 5% which would see us at sub 120 easily. I already topped up at 119 last week so I’m not keen to add more, I have even considered selling 50% if we see 129 again just as a hedge. Too much general uncertainly around to go too long for me.

How long now before Credit Suisse wake up again and reiterate their 99p to stick the knife in just a little more?

So nothing but buy recommendations last week and then Citi downgrade to a sell and 95p this morning and the price drops first thing. Give me strength!!! I could be wrong but I remember they did the same thing about 2 years ago, then changed their minds in a heartbeat and went to buy at 140, seems now they changed their mind again.

Dialled in to listen to the replay of the brokers meeting that took place this morning. I should warn you it goes on for over an hour but well work checking out for any serious long term investors. Some good insights into 2014/15.

Hi Mate, Your right when you drill down things are pretty tidy, my fear pre-open was the headline revenue drop would scare the market despite being back to growth on the bottom line. I was impressed with the addition cost savings. I’m sure some sites will quote the drop in Poker over everything else though. So glad the market reaction was positive. COME ON 130!!

It was interesting timing that Deutsche reiterated their buy rating and 170 target the day BEFORE the results?

Hi long haul, I think it’s safe to say the results will be poor for the last year, aside from the unknown level of cost savings that will mitigate things a little. Bearing in mind everyone expects things to be poor I would hope for some upside and the price to increase on improved Q4 data and the outlook for 2014 being a much improved picture compared to 2013. You’re correct in saying it’s hard to call as this company has a history of worse news than expected in recent years, but I hope this time will be different. To use a poker term it’s a bit of a coin flip….

On the plus side although our player numbers fall short at times I know for sure that the yield per player is better than our rivals, we no longer pander to the grinders with high rack backs etc. which was the problem in the past, the casuals are not too worried about value, they just like a nice environment to play in and hopefully win a few pounds sometimes. On that subject I entered a small $2 rebuy tourney Saturday along with 575 others and after 5 hours or so came 3rd for $142 a lot of work for little but very satisfying.

I know what you mean but the Pokerscout average is correct. The issue we have compared to the others around us is our reliance/want of casual players and not the grinders. This makes our peak figures look good in comparison but in the down times we lag behind all of them due to casual players no wanting to play between the hours of 3am and 1pm. Fingers and everything else crossed the good news flows on Thursday…..

It also slightly bothers me that despite 3 attempts last week the price failed to clear 130, we will need some pretty strong forward guidance in the results to breakout past that point it seems, all a little disappointing. Still quite heavy and will remain that way for the long term, but worth trying to trade where possible on these movements I think.

Hi Albus, I took another top slice at 126 earlier, the markets as a whole are very toppy and Ukraine is still hanging over them. Will look to rebuy if things are still ok on Wednesday.

Seems to be just Ukraine news upsetting the wider markets.

Any news relating to this small but sudden drop? or a tree shake?

Knew he couldn’t stay away!!!! With a little bit of luck we may close north of 130 for the first time in a long while today. It would be nice to break that resistance so we can see mid 130’s by the results next week, then who knows??
