I know you like to put a negative spin on things here, but maybe, just maybe, the point of the RNS was to update investors of an (albeit small) milestone in what is a potentially long and slow process.
Folk complain if there is no news and also find cause to complain when there is news.
This is a positive.
The SP move so far today acknowledges it as a positive too. It may not necessarily hold on to the gain, but it is progress nonetheless, one step further down the line.
Also, why would Riverfort put pressure on Lucan? According to YL, JT-P is responsible for literally everything that goes on with Angus ;-)

Agree ocelot, but although any timetable may not have changed, there is much that is out of their control.
Taking a realistic approach, so anything before Q4 for me will be a bonus (perhaps September at a push).

The truth, as always will be somewhere in the middle of the 2 very clear extremes.

The naysayers will NEVER acknowledge any update as being good news here without adding numerous caveats to paint it as bad news.
Predictions of multi-bagging on the basis that it rapidly went up from Xp to Yp over a short period over 2 years ago is just ridiculous. Different times, different bod (despite what folk continue to say), different focus and different expectations.

It is an update. Progress. One step on a long road to getting SF back into operation which we all know will take time (I am looking at Q4 next year for operations to commence), and there WILL be bumps along the way.
When the SP was doing well, delays were seen as ok and part of the business. Now they are cause for an apocalypse and an excuse to slate the company.
So much rhetoric from both sides.
Sitting with the more realistic few hoping for a decent increase from SF to claw back some of their paper losses.

Hope you're right.
Sadly, I seem to remember 2019 being the year for UKOG (I even posted similar myself this time last year) and DHC amongst others were regularly posting about 6 wells by the end of 2019.
It has been a long wait and progress has been slower than anticipated this year, but it's all coming together and in the meantime there have been plenty of good opportunities to keep adding to position at these low prices.
My average now down to 1.28
Not long until news now.

(imo) it was RealAnalyst who was posting on this board pretty much daily from the beginning of November last year telling everyone they were mugs and crazy to be selling at the supposed bargain prices who potentially cost investors a lot of money had they taken action based on reading his comments.
Every time the SP fell from the 16p high at the time (he was talking 30p plus 'next week'), down through 14p, 12p, 9p and on to 4p, he was saying the real price should be at least 50% higher than it currently was at the time, right up until the fateful RNS at the end of June when he then started recruiting tirelessly for his civil action.
I am not the first person who has pointed this out either, although every time it has been mentioned he denies it, or says he was only looking at things optimistically. I wonder if his posting history has been incorporated into his defence of the action.

So, what is it that attracts you to UJO for you to 'be in here'?

I am more positive than most posters here, but I just can't see where 10p comes from with the modest targets set by the company for Balcombe and SFB.
Small uplift maybe for Balcombe (personally not expecting much from here), but SFB is key. 9 months plus for a return here.
Not good for holders with current losses and high averages, but potential for any new investors prepared to take a (big) risk on the company based on their past performance and possible future outcomes.
Time will tell, of course.

I am very much of the 'wait and see' view re: Balcombe and particularly SFB, and feel there is scope for some uplift from any success there (SFB), but there is no way we will see a 400%-500% rise here again. Using the fact it happened previously is just a lazy argument imo, often used on boards where a share is languishing after various set-backs to present an optimistic future.
At best, I am only hopeful for a lift back to a 2.5p-3.5p SP based on actual results (SFB), at which point I intend cash out.
The market expects results now, and the SP (sadly) will not rise without evidence of delivering a return on one, or both of these projects, of which the mooted returns seem fairly modest tbh (whereas previously, expectation with Brockham was arguably higher).
I am only staying here for SFB, so am expecting a 9-12 month wait for news here.
I see the SP holding at the current level for the short term with little news flow expected in the coming months, and the Riverfort shares taken into consideration.

I believe the TR1 holder needs to notify the company no later than 2 trading days following the acquisition, and the company needs to notify the market no later than the end of the trading day following receipt of the notification.

For neatness, you would have thought as both parties and the market were all aware in advance of the event due to the date of issue of the placing shares, the RNS would have been done same day, but we do not know for sure (correct me if I am wrong) if the shares are actually in issue yet (there may have been a delay of sorts), or the TR1 holder may have sold enough to go under the 3% threshold on the date of issue to negate any notification requirement.

I am pretty sure the company would never allow a 'short' holder to participate in a placing in the first place, and seeing as there are no official records of any shorts on ukog, this seems highly doubtful (imo).

I am responsible for my own investment decisions. I am looking at Saltfleetby to get a return on my current losses. If it fails then I have a minimal loss to my current investment, but potential recovery makes it worthwhile waiting for the outcome, whatever that may be. I have never invested more than I can afford to lose.
Suggesting that my post should be interpreted that it is MY fault if the bod fails is a pathetic and childish statement.

It means absolutely NOTHING. Attempting to spread fear just for the sake of it from the usual cheerleaders for destroying this company.

The likes of JA51, Wealdpwr, YL, et al are just sooo desperate to trash ANGS at every opportunity with their petty 'postalot', 'Anguish Energy' and 'Lucanista' references and their obsession with JT-P, that they will stop at nothing to scaremonger at every opportunity, all in the name of 'warning any potential new investors'. Such good Samaritans.

I am sorry, but even as a lth with decent paper losses, the bitterness I still see from many of the 'old guard' here is ridiculous. NEVER taking responsibility for their investment decisions and blaming the bod for everything. The easy option. You do realise this is AIM, right? Nothing is nailed on, or guaranteed.

Not posted here for a while due to the pathetic calling out of anyone with a neutral or positive view here by the aforementioned, but still holding for the 'new' targets of the 'new' management and will continue to base my investment decision on actual news.
Will await the standard responses with the same old tired arguments.
Good luck to all those genuine holders with a pragmatic attitude to the CURRENT investment opportunity here, it may be a long wait, and it may not all go to plan, but at least I will blame no one but myself if things do not work out over the next 12 months, or so.

Per RNS, circa 235m new shares to be issued. Today's total volume circa 70m.
I hardly think the lot has already been forward sold by this single II, although someone with better maths than I may advise otherwise.
